A great little portable AM/FM radio that is perfect for playing any time.
Recently I realized that we had no portable radio and there are times that I just want to listen to the radio. After checking on line I came across this great little product (Power Bear Portable Radio: AM/FM, 2 AA battery operated with long range reception for indoor, outdoor and emergency use, radio with speaker and headphone) on Amazon for a bargain price. I immediately bought it and was impressed with the quick delivery service. After putting the 2 AA batteries in the radio it worked great. I am very pleased with the sound and am happy with my purchase. Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Haiku Moments: How to read, write and enjoy Haiku)

Great features; great performance; BUT possibly induces noise into the vehicle electronics.
This charger has two independent QuickCharge 3.0 circuits so it is able to simultaneously charge two compatible devices appropriately for their individual charge state. That is, per product descriptions, a rare capability which would recommend this product. For that I would give it 5+ stars and happily buy more every week until my home were overflowing with them. BUT there seems to be one otherwise unreported issue which I have not seen on other auto 12V chargers which occurs in one of my cars. After 3 months of switching and experimentally substituting two of these chargers with two other brand chargers between two vehicles I have determined that this design induces bus failures in one of my cars. When one of my vehicles (A Volvo V70) has one of these chargers in the front 12V socket (not the one for the rear seats) then within a week I will see spurious faults. ABS failures, transmission control failures, and sometimes engine misbehavior and the OBD codes usually include U0002 high-speed CAN bus error messages. No other charger seems to cause the issue and only one of these chargers in the front socket (nearest the various engine, transmission, display, and other cabin control computers) correlates with the errors and symptoms. I *think* that this design of charger is sending high-frequency noise from its power converter circuits back into the car electrical system and in one of my cars and one of my 12V power sockets that electrical noise occasionally propagates far enough to affect one or more of my computers enough to trip a CAN bus error threshold and then set a limp-mode until I stop and restart the engine. It's a strange touch-and-go effect which may be unique to my aged vehicle's wiring and perhaps an edge-of-spec instance of vehicle or charger (but I have two). Now I know about it I keep the unit plugged into the rear of that vehicle. I'm almost certain this weirdness would be unique to my circumstances, but if you 'coincidentally' experience car problems after adopting this charger then it may not be a coincidence. If you do (obviously) unplug the charger. You might experiment with using it in sockets further removed from the car electronics, or even using an extension cable between the charger and the socket, and perhaps clip on a ferrite anti-noise bead to the extension cable (or behind the power socket).

Portable Transistor Radio
I had a transistor radio that finally died after 20 years of use. I found this one on Amazon and I went ahead and bought it to replace my old one. So far, it has been very reliable batteries last for a decent amount of time. It has an on/off dial and a station selection dial. It receives both AM and FM radio stations. It is battery operated (does not have a power cord) and there is an earphone jack on the side of the radio. THIS IS NOT A BLUETOOTH DEVICE! If you are looking for a radio that is very portable and easy to use, this is a good buy. Very reasonably priced.

Very lightweight cheaply made junk
After it arrived, I realized just how cheaply made this product was. Honestly, it's more like a $3.99 radio. It looks like it could smash to pieces from a slight fall. The controls/wheels/sliders are not smooth, where the dial for changing stations is very rough to the point where it's immensely difficult and often impossible to pinpoint an exact station because it requires a smooth scroll to keep it in that exact spot without hitting the next station up or down, as well as the control slider for the AM/FM that is so rough I fear if I used daily it would definitely break, like it's rough and getting stuck every time you slide it. You can barely even see the gauge move in the clear plastic section when you change stations where it indicates just where you are on the numbers scale, as often I have to go where there is sunlight coming in from the window just to see where it is. Would it have killed them to make this a neon, white, or bright red color instead of the dull one that it is? The antenna does feel like it's not designed to stay on for very long, and when that comes off, the radio is basically useless. I ordered this at the same time I ordered a portable NOAA radio, which I assembled and tried first, and after going through all the stations on it and making a list of what I get so I could put some in the favorites function, one of those was my favorite station. Then when I went to THIS radio, I barely even picked up the station to the point where rolling the dial at first did not even pick it up. I then had to go to the other radio to see what was playing on my favorite station which came in very loud and clear on that one, on a radio that's even cheaper $$ than this one, and then slowly dial my way through a lot of staticy stations just to find that song and then try to move the dial back and forth to get it to come in semi-clear. It finally came in, but it's not as clear as others. This is disturbing because this is a very local radio station on which every other radio I've ever had for 20 years lets it come in loud and clear, and only on this one does it come in as though it's 60 miles away. Ridiculous. The only reason I got this radio was because the reviews said the batteries would last weeks, whereas the portable NOAA that I wanted to use for when hurricanes hit had reviews that said the batteries died after a day. I then decided I would use the NOAA only during hurricanes, not leaving it on for alerts, and putting in the batteries when the hurricane hits and turning it off when I'm not listening. I don't need a radio that would not take a whole lot of batteries away from my stock so that I could at least listen to music all day during the boring hurricane week with power out, and I picked THIS one only for that reason!!! Now that I know my favorite local radio station that comes in perfectly fine on every other radio is coming in on this one like it's a foreign station, I know I made a poor choice. It's just ridiculously cheaply made radio and the antenna could be WAY better reception-wise across the board on all stations, not just a few. I thought I made a good purchase after research, because I really want a small one like this and not a big one and not one with a crank and a battery inside that will wind up dying after two years anyway just like cell phone batteries. The description and pictures make this look more high-quality than it really is. This is one of the most lightweight pieces of junk I ever owned, and that includes one that I got from a bank for opening up an account. This is really flea market quality. When radios that cost less than this pick up stations loud and clear and this one can't, it's time to return it & look for something else.

This packs a lot of punch!
A great radio! I had forgotten how small a transistor radio was. The power is super strong and the tuning is great. No problem hearing the station. Would highly recommend.
