much better than expected. Simple to put together. Only issue of what others refer to as skimpy directions is that the threaded bar needs to be inserted up through the base and then threaded into the top piece with the internal nut that is fixed inside the top piece. When tightening the threaded tube on the base you need to be sure that the bar does not protrude too long under the base. This is pretty easy to accomplish. 20 min to put together. Looks great.

The materials are of very good quality and the completed lamp is attractive, stable and sturdy. Assembly is a challenge since the parts are a very tight fit with each other. The wrench which was provided does not fit either of the two sizes of nuts on the lamp, one of which is metric and the other SAE.

The lamp arrived and assembly was fairly simple. It looks just great in the room and gives great light. The only issue we have had is the 3 way bulb we are using seems to go up in power but then on the 3rd turn, dims back down again. Not sure why that is happening but it is perfect for reading by and fits the look of our decor perfectly.

After years of mismatched lamps in the bedroom I wanted to upgrade. These are tall enough to read by and the three way switch allows for more subtle lighting if wanted. Assembly was a snap (I don’t understand the negative reviews on assembly)

Folks, it's an attractive lamp; mission-style elegance and simplicity. But the instructions stink. No, really, you can throw them out. Examine the inside bars of the top frame, and you'll see that the two outside poles must first be screwed into the top frame assembly, and then you can slip on the outside sleeving. You'll need to fiddle with the connection of bottom sleeves and it's tricky as hell to connect to the base...I suggest you lay it down across your legs or on top of a small box to secure that base. Use a small adjustable wrench for the bottom screws, since the wrench that comes with the lamp is completely worthless.And the price! I bought this lamp last week at $142 plus tax. Today, it's listed for $243!! Waaay overpriced in my opinion. Caveat emptor!

Dangerous electrical damage occurred during shipping. The foam used in packaging is very brittle and was a mess of little static cling foam balls upon arrival. Did not think much of this other than the hassle of clean up. Put the lamp together and tossed packaging. Put a bulb in the next day and nothing worked. Upon taking the lamp back apart it became clear what happened. The cord is wound through the unassembled portions of the base during shipping. Since the foam had failed the sharp metal portions of the lamp cut through the cord (see picture). I'm fortunate that it severed it completely as this could have shorted out and caused a fire. If you buy this lamp inspect the cord for shipping damage before assembly! I ended up rewiring the lamp and putting a new lamp socket in (thank you YouTube on how to do this) as I didn't have the packaging for a return. Working fine now. The lamp itself is perfect. Beautiful, high quality, nice shade, excactly what I wanted. I would certainly recommend the lamp itself, and assume that mine somehow had unusual abuse during shipping, however, please inspect carefully of you order, particularly if you find the foam has broken apart.

Love these! I bought 2. They go with the decor in our neo Japanese style bedroom - they are nice and tall which is good for reading in bed, and super sturdy and tough. I don't worry they will break if they get knocked over by a stray pillow or pet. Running the cords through them was a bit tedious for initial assembly, but I appreciate the fact they they were left loose so the neck wouldn't break during shipping. I also love the little cube finials that hold the shades on. A great buy!

Bought the floor lamp a year ago and decided to replace another lamp in the same space with the table lamp. Looks very nice as a set in my Asian/Mission style living room. Simple assembly. The shade had a little fraying on one edge but treated with clear fray check used for sewing and it is fine.

Love the look and it's a great additioni to our room.

Very happy with product as stylish and great value for money. Product was a little difficult to put together as instructions were not easy to follow.

One of the lamps was missing a small but essential part. Now its sitting in peices in a corner untill i have time to go to home depot to look for it. The instruction manual is completely useless. So you must be a little handy and figure out the install process on your own
