I needed wheels for a pressure-treated pine table that I made. I opted to use these threaded stem casters. They require a 1/2 in. drill bit to place the stems that will receive the 3/8 casters, rather than, say, the more typical swivel plate casters that would use 4 small screws at the corners. Because my table legs are made of soft pine, I was nervous that drilling a swivel plate into the four outside corners might split the wood. I'm happy with my decision, and these casters work well. They roll smoothly and lock in place with a gentle push of your foot.

Another review of this product opines that these casters fit an IKEA OMAR wire shelf. That's inaccurate. They're perfectly good casters, but they have 5/16" threaded stems, and an IKEA OMAR - IKEA being a Swedish company and therefore run by people who use the metric system - requires metric threaded stems. You might be able to get the first few turns of 5/16" stems into a metric threaded socket, but that's about it. The appropriate casters for an IKEA OMAR shelf have metric threaded stems sized M8-1.25. There are many caster options available on Amazon with appropriately threaded stems. Otherwise, these are nice, solidly made, functional casters. They just don't fit an OMAR shelf.

First time I ordered wrong size. Return was simple! Now these fit! Size M8 25 fit the Ziofio shelves perfectly! I'm so happy I found the correct size for these shelves! Now I can easly move to clean and rearrange when I want without having to empty the stand! Going to order more for my other stands 🤩

The casters seem well made and with durable components but the inserts need work. With most of the inserts the inside threads were in bad shape. I got two sets of casters and needed to run a tap through 5 of the 8 inserts. This only takes a few minutes if you have the correct size tap but if you don't this is obviously a problem. If the threads aren't tapped it may prevent the caster from going all the way in or could strip the threads if forced.

Perfect replacement wheel for my GMG smoker. The caster bolt is 10mm x 1.50 thread pitch. Had to do some research to find this caster. This is a good caster. Wheel lock works good.

They do the job on a smooth concrete (not cement) floor. I’m not sure how they would do in a rougher surface but they are working great for me.
