Korean Made Simple Workbook #1

This book is greatly helping my understanding of Korean. I am enjoying the exercises and getting a high percentage of them right without any surepticious cheating.

Good workbook to go with the main textbook. It is useful to do the exercises to practice and understand theory better. I wish there was more listening, though.

I got this book to accompany the Korean made simple and Korean reading made simple. As once I've got the basics under my belt, I need worksheets to test my ability and help me achieve a better grasp of the language.

If you have the main textbook, then I would highly recommend this workbook.

After finishing the first Go Billy Korean book I still felt uncertain about just how much I had learnt and didn't feel quite confident or prepared enough to move on to the second book or onto more difficult content. BUT ...this book was exactly what I needed. Full of different writing and listening exercises, there are tons of questions to practice your reading and understanding form the first book. There are questions on conjugating verbs, matching up vocabulary, creating sentences, translations, listening exercises, which are all set out chapter per chapter and link really well to the first book. I particularly like the fact that the vocab in earlier chapters also appears in later chapters; for example, a question in chapter 17 will contain a few words you learnt back in chapter 8. The listening exercises were also very good, with the audio clips playing at both a fast and a slow speed which was great for testing my ability to pick up and recognize the words and sentences I had been reading and writing. The only negatives are that I wish there were more listening questions, and unlike the textbook, the answers are written directly underneath the questions. I ended up using a piece of paper to hide the answers which could be awkward to hold in place whilst I was studying. However, if like me you are looking for more practice, to get your confidence up and to become more proficient and solid in your learning from the first book, I would highly recommend this book. I cannot emphasize what a difference it had made, and I only hope there will be more of these workbooks to come!

This is Ok, nothing more. I love the text books and thought this would help me along but feel I may have been better saving the money on this workbook

Makes sense and feel like I’m learning better with these books

I try to learn by my own. No teacher, no classes. I rely on the book 100%. This is the book I tried to start my learning from. For me the lessons are too packed. Too much material in one lesson. Too little execrices. In one lesson based on one short dialogue you'll be faced with several different grammar points, a lot of vocab and then a list of more vocab that is nowhere used. The grammar is explained in one or two example sentences and that's it. Move on. Next lesson new material. More and more. No room for repetition, no room for consolidation. I tried to work on it, but it was not very effective, it was too hard, discouraging. Even if I learned something I soon forgot it because it's nowhere repeated, and I was already tried to learn tonnes of new stuff. Overload. I'll probably come back to it now, when I worked though a few other books that gave me the secure basics, and we'll see how it goes. I wouldn't recommend it as your first book to start with, though.

Ich LIEBE dieses arbeitsheft .ich habe dazu das go Billy korean made simple 1 und das workbook ist die perfekte ergänzung dazu.es ist wirklivh schwer eine sprache selber zu erlernen aber mit den beiden büchern habe ich schon so viel gelernt .kann ich jedem empfehlen der anfängt zu lernen aber auch für fortgeschrittene lerner gibt es infos und tipps.das workbook fängt wirklich super leicht an mit hallo ,tschüss und interessen und wird dann immer schwieriger .ich habe ein foto von dem 7 kapitel und dem 2 zum vergleichen gemacht
