The Best of the 80s: Magnum P.I.

Except for the lack of the episode where Mac is killed, this is an excellent Magnum PI brief DVD presentation. They could have left out the episode where Magnum treads water for the entire episode. The 8 seasons where well produced and performed. The relations between the 4 main characters are key to its success. This brief collection is a good representation of this excellent series.

Take me back to the 80's! good drama! Love the car! Magnum delivers some great performances and it still is safe to have the kids watch shows like these. If you are looking for all around good entertainment, this is it!

These few episodes give a good representation of how fun this series was (still is). They do tend toward the dramatic with more emphasis on Magnum's Viet Nam past than the series had as a whole. The first two-part episode is there, setting the tone, and the final two-part episode is there, as is the great Limbo episode. I do wish they had included my favorite "Forty", but I can't complain too much. Overall this is a great sampling of one of the few great TV shows from the 80s.

The first show plus more, gives a good starting point for watching magnum lets you learn how things got started and the price was right.

I love 80's stuff but I guess I forgot how slow some episodes takes to get going.

I bought this because one of the Magnum websites said that this had the original broadcast version of the final episode. It doesn't. It's exactly like the one on the Season 8 set. Same ending credits, same cut scenes, same syndicated, 2 part version. The good part is that it only cost $3.

These are simply the greatest TV movies I enjoy watching. The stories seem to draw you into being part of the show. I enjoy Tom Selleck as an actor.

Gift for son, but who wouldn't like a look back at this show. Tom Selleck for fun and excitement.

Great blast from the past.

I have never seen a Tom Selleck movie that I didn't like. This collection of Magnum PI episodes were very enjoyable to view.

Was really anticipating the arrival of this DVD. Unfortunately not much was on it and the ones that were weren't my favourites. Not worth the money. Buy Magnum P.I. by the season and not by someone else's perception of the 'best' of this series. I learned my lesson!
