This is quickly becoming my favorite coffee. It has great body and aroma. It is also much less expensive than some of my other favs. I first saw this on a Fox News ad (online viewing) and decided to 'ring up' Amazon and try it. I initially asked my colleagues to give it a try by offering them a free Kup. They each agreed that it was a nice coffee. I bought several more boxes. It is worthy to note that these are stored internally in an air-tight container, so shelf life is probably quite good. I used to live in Hawaii and have been to the Na Pali Coast on Kauai, so I may have tried this coffee before K meant 'Kups', but this is definitely worth a try if you like a nice, rich dark roast without bitterness and with full body flavor. To be fair to coffee experts, I know nothing about coffee other than what I like and don't like, so if I have abused any terms, my apologies. My review is for my fellow consumers who are wondering about this 'part'. I like it a really lot, lot. As always, YMMV. I suggest that you give it a try and see if you like it as much as do I. One of my other favs is the Panera Bread dark roast and the Dunkins dark roast. If you're not a DR person, you're not reading this any way. This one is clearly 'better' in my own personal taste tests and at a much lower price.

These pods are the best dark roast kcups that I've found yet!! I've tried a number of dark roast sampler packs and have pulled the trigger on a few boxes with little luck. I had been loyally buying Seattle's Best but saw these were cheaper so I thought I'd give them a try (probably being disappointed) I've had some amazing Kona coffee in Maui. I was shocked at the taste! It was rich and smooth with no strange after taste that a number of brands leave behind. And they were in fact cheaper than my previous favorite!! I am switching!! Now for a few random details. They are the recyclable kind of kcups with the mesh bottoms. Inside the standard box there is an additional freshness bag reminiscent of a traditional bag of coffee with the fold over seal. If you do leave these in your kurig by mistake they oddly harden and can get a bit stuck but you just got to wiggle them a bit. Got them in July 2022, with an expiration date of May 2023.

This is one of the few pods I have found that gives a nice bold coffee flavor when brewed at 12 oz. A lot of other pods start becoming watered if you exceed an 8-10oz brew. This pod has a stronger/bolder coffee flavor than most other pods, such as: Cafe Bustelo Espresso Dark Roast, Rev No Surrender, Gevalia Dark Royal Roast, Solimo Dark Roast. The flavor is very bold but not bitter or burnt tasting, like Deathwish.

After trying many brands of coffee pods for my Keurig, this has been one of my "go-to staples" for the past few years. It is delicious, fresh, and environmentally friendly with no plastic around the pod. The "Napali Coast Dark Roast" is very smooth tasting, and not bitter. In addition to the great taste, I purchase this product because the "12 Pod size" is very reasonably priced. I hope the Kauai Company continues to provide 12 pods versus the competing big coffee companies that now only offer a paltry 10 pods in their boxes. Just a note: I have noticed that Amazon Prime Shipping is much slower, in delivery of this product lately. I used to receive this in 2 days and am now waiting 4-5 days. Not sure what is going on but it may not have anything to do with this coffee distributor. I am hoping this improves. All in all, these coffee pods are a quality product and I am very happy with them.

Before I get to flavor I must say that these are the best and highest quality biodegradable K-cup pods I have ever used. Most of the biodegradable pods are not as good as the plastic pods in my experience; except for the ones produced by Kauai coffee. This brand of pods do not leak any sediment through the mesh bag like others I have tried. To me it’s a big deal because that’s the main reason I kept buying the plastic pods over the more environmentally friendly style pods. The quality of the drip coming from these pods in on par with green mountain’s plastic pods which is the gold standard for K-cups in my opinion. I have been to Kauai and sampled all of the various roasts they offer, and these pods definitely meet the same quality levels you enjoy while on the island. I already knew that Na Pali coast was my favorite roast from Kauai Coffee and it’s just as good in the pod. It has that a darker slightly earthy flavor that I love in a Sumatra coffee, but toned down a bit with a smoother finish. It doesn’t have that ‘burnt’ flavor you find in a lot of dark roast coffees that are far to common nowadays; just a smooth rich flavor with a well balanced acidity and bitterness. I also have Garden Isle medium roast, which is quite good as well. It is as light as I like to go and is perfect for when I want to make something lighter like an iced coffee with a bit of cream.

Surprisingly delicious! Smooth, dark, value for money, and compatible with vanilla creamer. High quality coffee. This was my first time trying this coffee. These pods were packaged very well and different from what a typical k-cup pod would look like. They look like mini coffee filters with the beans inside instead of plastic little pods. The pods were fresh and smelled so good before I even got to make one. I would definitely recommend.
