Good batteries with fairly long life compared to some brands. Decent price for # of batteries.

A solution that had no problem and is more unsafe than before
Packaging has changed to an impossible way to get the batteries out anywhere you don't have a scissors, and then it is very hard. I am 72 and can't imagine people a decade older dealing with this. The last batch I bought was a great dispenser. Thank goodness I saved a few of them. I sit at a table, painstakingly cut out the new ones and insert them into the old dispenser so they are handy. This is a new government mandate thing passed by a clueless congress and signed by president Biden to protect children from remote control batteries. Now old folks fumbling these impossible to get out tiny batteries are now far more likely to mishandle and drop them and not find them until a grandchild pick them up an eats them. Remote control are bigger I can see that, but not hearing aid ones. The batteries themselves are ok.

Easy removal from packaging
I ordered these to avoid the use of scissors that are now mandatory to remove batteries. However, bait and switch. I was sent the type that required scissors anyway. Wasn't happy. But when I found out how this brand packages the batteries I was pleasantly surprised. The cut is in a pie shape. Once cut you have a battery that is still in package with the sticky strip affixed and can be stored in a small container like a pill box. When needed, just pull back the remaining packaging and pull off the sticky strip. Ready to go. They last as long as most. About 5 to 7 days for me.

Quality product last longer than others
I have Starkey hearing aids. I like the battery operated than the rechargeable. I have used this battery for a number of years. I like the container easy to use and then sticker that you pull off the battery has a bit longer tab and is easier to grab onto. I have tried other brands and these seem to last longer.

Horrible to open packages
I made sure that I didn’t order the “child proof ones. According to the picture on Amazon I felt sure they were the right ones. I just opened the new box and saw they said “child proof “. I struggled for 5 minutes cutting and tearing. I want my money back!!!

Batteries are OK but packaging is a nightmare.
For 11 years, these were my battery of choice (different battery, size 13, but similar diameter and a little thicker than the 312s I use now). Once you peeled a tab off the back of the cardboard package, you only had to rotate the plastic "wheel" to get a new battery out. Now, however, there is apparently a new federal guideline that requires the packaging of all hearing aid batteries to be childproof, meaning that it is extremely difficult to open for adults and nearly impossible for anyone with arthritis in their hands. Now, instead of the previous peel and rotate procedure, one has to cut into the hard plastic blister pack with scissors to get a new battery out. You do carry a pair of heavy duty scissors with you at all times, right? I appreciate the need to prevent small children from eating batteries, if that really is a problem, but whatever happened to putting a useable package somewhere kids can't reach? As far as the batteries themselves are concerned, although they last less than half as long as the size 13s did in my previous hearing aids (4 days vs. 10), that is likely due to the difference in size (thickness) and to the possibly higher power demand from the new hearing aids. With friendlier packaging, I would probably give them two more stars.
