I originally picked up a gas can from a local store, and honestly, it felt like a total waste because of the factory spout. I finally gave up on the "safety" spouts that come with new gas cans. I can never seem to figure those things out, and they always end up making a mess. The EZ-POUR Replacement is exactly what I needed. It is easy-peasy to install and even easier to use. No clicking, twisting, or frustration—just a straightforward spout that actually pours gas when you want it to. If you're tired of struggling with the over-complicated nozzles that come on gas cans these days, get this. It works perfectly.

It is quite straightforward. If your gas can doesn't have a vent, then you will want to drill a hole and install the vent that is included. Without the vent, you don't get a "draft" and the gas struggles to come out and it is a slow process, especially if you have a larger gas "can". I have a heavy duty 5 gallon gas can and the vent makes a huge difference in how fast you can get gas out of the can. The nozzle itself is quite nice and the included cap is very nice as well. I use the nozzle with the included extension and you want to make sure you screw on and tighten the extension well. I have experienced a minor leak where the extension and nozzle are joined, but I just tightened that connection. Along with the fine and coarse threaded base cap and everything else that is included, this is a nice set, but maybe could be slightly cheaper. Works great and flexibility of spout allows for tight filling location on a variety of equipment instead of funnels for rigid spouts.

Best replacement I've tried

I bought this along with the Chilton P500 adapter kit and now I’m leak free. Leaking gas spouts are a real pain in the butt. The flex spout is nice for some situations, but I believe I like the rigid spout better for most of my filling needs.

Save me money by not buying another gas can. This one fits my 5-gal gas can, the extension will work great when filling my Generator up, no more wasted gas. Tried two others and they didn't work, bad as the one came with the can, the safety lock sucked. Life saver. Buy it, you're never regret it.

Purchased this to replace the annoying filler on my standard gas cans to make it easier to pour gas into my van gas tank port. Unfortunately the filler tube diameter is to large to fit the flex-fuel inlet on my van so It doesn't work for that purpose. Otherwise it seems to be good for filling gas tanks with larger filler opennings. It is plastic so it's hard to get overly rated for quality and durability IMHO though.

this is good option for filling diesel without spillage.
