I’d used an Andis clipper for my “Kids” furever, and they enjoyed getting brushed. My newest rescued “Kid” has a difficult time warming up to me, and the thought of the buzzing clippers was freaking him out. Thought I’d try a difference approach, wondering how effective this dematting comb would be. While he’s getting much better at tolerating this brush, I’m amazed at how well the one side works to get the shedding out, but then being able to use the other side to untangle the rest of his fur. One of these days I hope to be able to brush his tail, which is still a very difficult task. He looks so much better, having been brushed even for a brief period. This furminator works very well and I highly recommend it for making your beautiful Kid a really stunning one. Just be ready for the hunks of fur it’ll remove!

I’m honestly shocked at how well this worked on my Great Pyrenees. I’ve tried multiple brushes and combs over the years, and most either barely touch the mats or seem uncomfortable for my dogs. This comb actually worked through the thick undercoat and stubborn tangles without a huge struggle. The double-sided design is incredibly helpful — one side for tougher mats and the other for thinning and smoothing. It pulls out SO much loose fur without feeling overly harsh, and grooming sessions have become much faster and less stressful for both me and my dogs. If you have a Great Pyrenees or any thick double-coated breed, this thing is absolutely worth it. I genuinely didn’t expect to be this impressed.

This dematting comb does the job. It takes tons of hair off of the dog. It does hoe ever pull some so with the first uses you must be very gentle doing the combing. My daughter was so impressed that she also ordered one for her 2 dogs.

The comb came quick . And we used it on my newfoundland that are very hairy dogs 6 to 8 inches and this comb worked very well

Didn't realize how much hair my other brush wasn't getting. I have a Maine Coon,and the first stroke of this comb... hair for DAYS! Kept going for a good while. Had enough hair for another cat by the end. She feels so soft now! Granted, she hates being brushed, but that is nothing new. Sheds less. Perfect size. Easy to clean. Gets all the tangles out. Easy. Highly recommend.

I do think this works pretty well if you have a very small pet or a cat. But for a German Shepherd, it would definitely be bigger than a larger size. This thing is tiny.

Amazing, I own a St. Benard and this comb was the best I have bought. One swipe and it got his mats and made his coat so smooth. 10/10 will recommend to all pet owners. Plus after the first brush he has not really shed at all. And all his hair is detangled.

This thing is great. My husky loves it. It’s not quite like all those videos where a simple swipe pulls all the matted hairs off put it does break it up and eventually pulls it out. I did get about a kitchen bag full of hair off of her in two sessions of brushing.

This de-shedding tool is amazing. I can't believe we went this many years grooming our cats without this. A word of advice: This tool is designed for cats with long, thick hair and will not work so well on cats with short and medium hair. The best approach for removing matted hair is to start with the eleven toothed side until the tool moves freely through the hair. Progress to the twenty three toothed side afterward. If there are still areas of matted hair remaining, remove them with a super fine toothed de-shedding tool like a furmanator. Thanks to this tool, our yard now looks like a herd of Yaks have been living there, and our coffees now have considerably less hair.

Great pet brush!

Two large dogs, and surrounded by Moorland, and rough farmland. Ours dogs inevitably come back from their walks with bits of bramble, mud and debris in their coats. Can be a nightmare as the Setter hates being brushed. Our Lab has a thick double coat and thankfully enjoys being brushed and pampered. After a number of years dealing with matted and knotted coats (despite our best efforts) this dematting rake is a revelation. Gentle and so easy to use on both dogs. Even the Setter is very happy that we have purchased this high quality rake, and is looking so very smart now. This is a brilliant tool, and works a treat. Matted hair, and knots are no longer a problem. I have also purchased another rake for our daughters Beardie Collie who lives on a farm. It is just fantastic for keeping her in tip top condition. I highly recommend this rake to everyone, no matter what breed of hairy chum you have. You will not regret your purchase.
