I purchased these to replace plastic sliders that break too easily for belt use. These have the necessary strength but slide too easily under tension with the webbing I have. I was able to increase the grip strength by cutting small notches into the underside of one slider edge with a rotary cutoff disc. See pictures. Otherwise the sliders are very nicely finished with rounded outside corners.

They are really nice quality. The surface finish is exactly what it should be. I highly recommend this slider buckle.
