Broke my shoulder last year. Doctor gave me permission to shower within days of surgery. Caution, of course, about not getting the dressing soaked. One of the nurses in postop had been through a similar injury And surgery and recommended these. Ordered them while still in the hospital and they were on my front porch when I got home. These are a practical solution for covering, a dressing for shoulder surgery. Easiest to have someone else apply them but not impractical to do by oneself. Challenging to position by one’s self over the shoulder dressing because of the angles. More practical, as shown in the picture with the item. The adhesive held well through the shower. Dressing was dry after showering. I would (and have) recommend these to anyone who needs to keep a dressing dry post surgery.

This really works. I was skeptical about how well it would stick to my skin when I purchased it. I had a hip replacement and was told I couldn't get my bandage wet for two weeks. So prior to surgery I got these. I tried them out to make sure they would keep the dressing dry by putting baby power on my leg and then put the dressing over the spot. I took a long shower and much to my surprise, when I got out of the shower and dried off, the baby powder was still dry. I've used them for 6 showers and not once did water get into the area the bandage protector was covering. If you don't want to stink after surgery, get this product.

Horrific. I have a wound that absolutely can't not get wet. This fell off in the shower. I didn't even get my hair completely wt and it falls off allowing my bandages and wound to get wet. Absolutely worthless product that doesn't stick to your stick AT ALL. WORTHLESS. WASTE OF MY MONEY!!! If I could choose ZERO stars I would.

My husband loves using these to cover his colostomy bag while showering. While it’s not strictly necessary, it gives him peace of mind and helps him feel more comfortable. The 10”x12” size is perfect—it provides full coverage of the bag without being bulky. They have just the right amount of stickiness: secure enough to stay on throughout the shower, but not so sticky that they’re difficult to remove. So far, they’ve held up great and haven’t peeled off mid-shower. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a little extra confidence and protection!

Works ok just came untaped halfway through my shower.

Well the adhesive on these isn't the greatest, I have to supplement with extra tape however it does fit over the spot we are protecting and with the extra tape it does keep the area dry which is our goal. I don't mind the extra tape for now.

I have had a large abdominal wound for 3 months and this brand is my favorite to use for shower guard. I like that it uses an island dressing approach. I do still tape it on the perimeter, given the location of my wound it’s impossible to get a good seal with any brand but this brand has been the best. Easy to remove and doesn’t tear my skin apart. Comes in different sizes which has been great. When you’re already stressed the last thing you want to do is waste more money and time trying to find a new product that works for you. I won’t be sad when I can finally stop buying these but I am greatful this company has this product!

As someone with sensitive skin and hypermobile EDS, this did not work for me. I have a port and was using it to cover in the shower because I leave my port accessed throughout the week as my port is hard to access and I'm at my infusion center three times a week and have scans constantly. This would always come off while taking a shower, which as I'm sure you know if you're purchasing, this is a huge infection risk. I've seen this product work for tons of people but it didn't work from me unfortunately. I think it's because of the texture of my skin though so I wouldn't blame it on the product. I personally ended up using the tegaderm that they use for tattoos and a piece of gauze, this works much better for me and is more reliable with its water tightness. The plastic does feel very durable though and I'm sure could work for a lot of people as the adhesive is pretty sticky.

It worked well after hip surgery, covers the bandage and only sticks to the skin. Used in conjunction with Saran warp and tattoo tape. Take a few minutes to get creative, but kept the surgery area dry.
