MM136 Intercom System

We just recently moved to a new property and the previous owner had installed a gate with a Mighty Mule opener. The opener works great, but just one problem. Unless someone calls/texts us and tells us they are there, we would have no idea of their arrival. This wireless intercom/doorbell system fits the bill! Our gate is approximately 300 feet from the main house. When someone arrives, they simply press the button, it beeps in the house and we can talk with them to make sure who it is. To let them in, press the permission granted button and tell the guest to press any button and the gate will open The audio is very clear. The base station volume is adjustable, but the volume at the gate is not and it is LOUD. If you are on a busy street, this is a good thing. We live on a quiet road and the neighbors can hear our side of conversation easily. Just don't say anything you wouldn't want anyone else to hear. Installation was pretty straight forward. The instructions are in a .pdf format available from the manufacturer. I did run into a small snag with the pairing of the device with the gate controller, but a quick phone call with Mighty Mule solved the problem immediately. Their technical support people are very patient and polite. In all, this is a great addition to our property and the company itself has been wonderful to deal with. A little pricey, but well worth it.

I could not upload my .jpg file, however; here are my thoughts. The MM360 series has been a blessing. I own a large ranch that required additional access control & security. The gate control works beautifully complete w/ solar charger. The wireless intercom & keypad control work perfectly in all conditions at a range of just over 100 ft. from my gate to my office. I would recommend Mighty Mule to anyone who needs access control. It is reasonably priced and gets the job done. It is easy to install and does not require a great deal of time to set up.

It does it’s job well when it works. I’ve had mine since 2018, the base still works, my keypad however no longer works most likely due to water making its way inside. I’m assuming Mighty Mule is aware of this issue since they sell a replacement keypad as a separate issue, but at $168 I might as well just replace the entire thing if I can’t fix it myself. That being said the keypad survived the gate opener itself by several years.

My customer needed a back gate intercom to work wirelessly from the main building to about 400 yards away. Once we’ve installed it, it worked intermittently due to poor reception. We ended up modifying the antenna with an extra coax ran down the fence. Ultimately, it’s a well-built product, and I believe it would probably work better with less things in the way however, we were stuck with what we had. We were using wireless walkie-talkies to check the signal and make sure it worked. The walkie-talkies work perfectly but unfortunately, the intercom was still a bit staticky. Ultimately we got it to work enough to be able to use it, but I wouldn’t suggest this over an extremely long distance. It is, however a well-built product. I can’t speak on the ability to open a gate. We only wanted it for intercom usage only.

Our gate is over 900’ from the house, through the trees, and is not in view from the house. With out this intercom system, we would not know when guest arrived or deliveries were being made. It’s simple to operate, and this is a replacement for our 6 yr old unit that got struck by lightning. I would definitely recommend this Mighty Mule product.

The Mighty Mule intercom works great and was exactly the same as the one I bought six or seven years ago.

Communicates clearly with the house, and does it's job.

I’ve been using mighty mule gate openers for 15 years. This is the first time I’ve had to replace keypad. Not a bad investment every 15 years. Range to our gate is about 250 feet. No problems with communication at that distance. It would be nice if mighty mule built in a motion alarm. But I’m quite happy with their products.
