Q: is this the same corrugated plastic material similar to the boxes USPS uses for handling mail?

Yes it is the same type of material as postal totes (corrugated plastic made from polypropylene) , but totes are made from 3 or 4 millimeter while the main body of the Camping Kitchen Box is made from 6MM corrugated plastic so it is substantially stiffer.

Q: Can this be inverted so the heaviest thing like the stove is actually on the bottom not the top so it's not tipping over from the weight in transit?

When the box is loaded with a typical complement of gear, it is not noticeably top heavy. The rest of your typical pots and pans/plates etc, weigh just as much as a stove. If tipping over in transit is an issue, because of taking turns at high speeds or traversing steep inclines, the box (and all of your gear) should probably be secured. If you really want to "invert it" you can flip the drawers no problem, and drill new holes for the rope handles. Of course drilling new holes will make the box non returnable.

The box body (and drawers) are made out of Corrugated Plastic which is a plastic sheet good composed of two thin sheets of plastic that are separated and held together by a series of little plastic I beams, giving it an appearance similar to corrugated cardboard. The plastic itself is polypropylene, which is the plastic that makes up the majority of Tupperware.
