Reliable, Clear, and Very Capable for the Price
The Baofeng F22 FRS Walkie Talkies are a solid choice if you want dependable communication without getting into the complexity of GMRS licensing or ham radio programming. Theyโre compact, lightweight, and deliver clear audio even in areas where cell service drops out. For everyday use: RV travel, road trips, events, camping, or coordinating around the property. They perform well above their price. ๐ What Stands Out - Clear audio quality โ Voices come through crisp and loud, even with some background noise in moderate distance in hilly terrain. - Good realโworld range โ While few FRS radios perform at the โadvertisedโ miles, these perform well in neighborhoods, campgrounds, and wooded areas. - Rechargeable convenience โ USBโC charging is a huge plus though the option is there to use AA batteries instead of the included lithium battery pack if you wish. - Simple operation โ Channel selection and volume are fairly straight forward, however, the function buttons are dual function depending on whether the Menu button is first pressed. - Solid build โ They feel sturdy without being heavy, and the buttons have a nice tactile click. - Works with other FRS radios โ Works with Midland, Motorola, and other FRS units on matching channels/tones. ๐ Things to Keep in Mind - Like all FRS radios, range depends on terrainโdonโt expect miles in dense urban areas severe mountains. - The belt clips are decent but not heavyโduty. - No removable antenna (FRS rules), so you canโt upgrade range with aftermarket antennas. ๐งฐ Bottom Line The Baofeng F22 is a great allโaround FRS radio: clear audio, dependable performance, easy charging, and simple controls. If you want a reliable communication tool for travel, events, or daily use without dealing with licensing or programming, these are an excellent value.

Perfect birthday gift with great range
I bought these walkie talkies as a birthday gift, and they have been absolutely awesome. The range on them is fantastic, and you can hear the other person perfectly clear without any static. My favorite feature is the charging cable because you can plug both radios in at the exact same time with just one cord. It saves so much hassle and outlet space. They make a wonderful present, and I highly recommend them.

Great value, minor issues
Like others mention, these don't hold charge well when powered off. Presumably they are drawing power whenever the battery is connected. The actual battery life seems fine (though I've only used them for single day trips). Other small issues: The clips on the back are not very secure. They are sturdy, but the attachment point where the clip itself attaches to the back is very easy to jostle loose. If you plan leaving these clipped to a harness/backpack/etc I would definitely attach a cord or something to the bottom and not rely on the clips. The charging port is behind a nice weatherproof flap. This is great, but it's very easy to mistake the rubber covering over the side buttons for the charging port! Twice now, I pulled the cover off the buttons instead of the charging port. This is definitely user error, but a very easy mistake to make, and its hard to get the button cover back on properly (for how easy it is to remove). Otherwise, these are excellent value.

BAOFENG frs radio
Great frs radios for the money. Make sure to remove the rechargeable battery pack if storing for more than 2 weeks. The radio draws a small amount of power while powered off which will depleat the battery after about 2 weeks or so.

Great radios
Great radio for work with ones up from the same frequency, but will not work with other baofeng radios that run different frequencies

Good value
These are excellent walkies, especially for under $20. Got these to use on camping trips where we don't have any cell service. I easily got 1/2-3/4 of a mile of range in a wooded area. Didn't test them at ranges further than that but at those ranges the audio was still extremely clear and easy to hear. Adjusting the various settings can be slightly confusing. Using the included manual, it took me maybe 10 minutes to adjust everything I wanted and set up several channels with privacy codes. The included rechargeable battery life is excellent. Having used them over period of 4 days they are still showing full charge. The option to also run on AA's is great if you're going to be off grid with no means to recharge. The volume goes way higher than I can foresee needing (which isn't a bad thing) They are perfectly audible on the lowest 1-3 volume settings, at least in an environment without a lot of background noise. They are light weight and the belt clip is well designed/works great with good retention. Overall exceeded expectations and worked flawlessly.

Very Impressed!!!
I bought this for an elderly neighbor so they could reach me in an emergency when the power and phones were out. I have GMRS radios, so I got these FRS radios so we could communicate since they use the same frequencies and FRS does not require a license. The neighbor is still getting used to using the radio. But I was impressed with all the features and the ability of the radios. Especially for the price. I was expecting them to be simple radios. They have features that some of my higher-end GMRS radios have. Such as scanning, NOAA weather channels with alerts, and dual channel monitoring, along with other features. All this for less than $10. They feel great in the hand and are solidly built. I highly recommend. Will be purchasing more for others in the area.

Batteries Drain Themselves
Batteries drain themselves. The radio is good and works well when you remember to charge it. However, everytime you go to use the radio, it has discharged itself and needs to be recharged. Maybe the batteries are old or maybe thats the way it supposed to work. Even with usb-c charging, I am disappointed that the radio is never ready for use. It's a shame because it's a good looking, easy to use radio that needs to constantly charge.
