Practical, Cost-Effective, and Saves Time
I wasn’t expecting to be so impressed by something as simple as a cord storage reel, but the Woods E-102 has proven to be a surprisingly useful and frustration-saving tool in our garage. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it. We have several long extension cords, including older ones that have developed twists and kinks over time. Trying to manually coil them often results in a tangled mess—what I jokingly refer to as "the orange squid." This tool completely eliminates that problem. It rolls up cords quickly and cleanly, even those with existing twists, without any real effort. For messy cables, i sometimes run it across my foot to keep it straight, but this is for older cables that have noticeable underlying twists. The build quality is solid for the price point. It’s not a premium-grade construction, but it feels sturdy enough that I’m not worried about it breaking with regular use. It's clearly built for functionality over flash, which is exactly what I was looking for. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and stores neatly on a shelf or hook without taking up much room. The most important part is that it makes cleanup so much faster—no more struggling to get cords untangled or stuffing them into corners where they get damaged. If you deal with long power cords, holiday lights, or even rope that tends to get out of control, this is an inexpensive solution that just works. Highly recommended for anyone who values time and a bit of garage sanity.

Finally Got My Cords Under Control — Solid Build but Size Up
I bought this because my extension cords were always in a tangled mess and I wanted to be more organized with my electrical cords. I started using it in my garage and out in the driveway when I’m running tools and moving cords around the yard. The plastic material actually feels pretty durable and stability is wonderful , and the wheel has good stability when you’re winding things up. The swivel feature helps a lot when reeling the cord back in and it keeps things cleaner and more manageable. I also like the overall flexibility of it since you can use it for cords, rope, or even a hose, and it definitely helps keep the garage looking more organized and improves the overall cleanliness of the space. What impressed me most was how sturdy it feels for plastic and how much easier it makes storing cords without tangles. What disappointed me is the capacity claim. It says it holds up to 125 feet, but realistically it doesn’t handle that comfortably, especially with thicker cords. If you’re going to buy one, I’d recommend getting the version rated for about 25 feet more than what you actually have so you’re not cramming it. Overall, it’s a solid organizer. Anyone trying to clean up a messy garage or keep extension cords under control will probably appreciate it. If you’re dealing with really long or thick cords though, you might want to size up or look at a bigger model.

Part 2 of a Two-Part Lawn Cord Management Solution
For years, I re-wound my long, anaconda thick, lawn cord around my arm and laid it on the floor of my garage. When no one was looking, this nicely coiled cord would always entangle itself so that it was another 5 or 10 minutes of untangling before I could use it again. I finally decided to buy something to wind this cord around. It's obvious from looking at this storage wheel, and others, that they can barely hold the laces from your tennis shoes, much less my anaconda. Not wishing to spend too much on a solution, I decided to buy a water hose reel instead of an electrical cord reel. I chose the Suncast TSA100M, about $30. It easily holds my cord, is relatively small, has a nice carry handle, a collapsable winding handle, and can mount on the wall if desired. This hose reel, as most others, have a swivel hose attachment coming from the center of the reel. It was easy enough to remove this swivel fitting and run the electrical cord receptable end through the hole. This worked fine until I tried to use my hedge trimmer. This trimmer, and some other yard tools, don't have long cords. They just have about a one foot stub. This probably makes sense because no amount of cord that they might furnish would be enough for some users. Also, you would have another cord management problem for each tool. Finally, it is obviously cheaper for them to not supply a cord. So, even with my hose reel storage solution, I needed yet another extension cord to connect from the hose reel to the trimmer. This is where THIS wheel becomes Part 2 of lawn cord management. I simple wrapped my second, shorter and larger gauge, extension cord around this wheel. On this wheel, I have the cord plug end coming out the "middle" (there isn't any real middle to this wheel - you just stick the cord out one of the side holes that will grasp the cord so it stays put). Then, I can connect this to the water hose reel's receptacle when I have to. Of course, this limits the use of this wheel to use with the water hose reel, but I have lots of small extension cords like this that I purchased around Christmas time to power my yard lights. This wheel is cheap enough and looks pretty sturdy, and is easy to use.
