This reduces a huge amount of glare on my 27" LG monitor. While it isn't quite as steady on the frame (even with a gentle tap) the reality is, I've not knocked it off and the two velcro straps do keep it from falling off. Don't expect to be able to mount a webcam on the end of it though (I used to have one on top of my monitor), it's just not strong enough. It has allowed me to edit videos with greater ease without having to ND every window and shut evert curtain in sight after about 2pm.

Having read some of the reviews here, bemoaning the quality of this hood and suggesting it was tricky to fit, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived today. First of all, it was 5 days earlier than the date given by Amazon. Secondly, it is very well made, with a PU outer and a flock interior lining. It is 8 inches (20cm) deep on all 3 sides, other than where it tapers inwards, for the final 12cm. Thirdly, it was very easy to fit and sits snugly on all 3 sides of my Dell 27 inch Ultra-slim monitor - with no gaps. The only issue, in terms of the fitting, is that the thin elastic band that is meant to sit along the bottom edge of the monitor was cover the buttons, so I positioned it along the back of the monitor. It doesn't affect how well the hood fits around the monitor, and could probably have been left off completely. The real test of this monitor is whether it reduces reflections. I would say, for my situation, not entirely. I have windows on the right hand side and directly facing the screen and would not have expected it to have eliminated them entirely. But there is a noticeable difference in the strength of the colours and definition of the image - at least a 70% improvement, and I'm not struggling to work on my photography editing, during the daytime. Maybe the quality of this product has been improved since some of the reviews were written. I can't say, but I can say, while it's not cheap, it was worth buying.

Photograph editing. It does the job of shielding unwanted light. It is easy to assemble: good instructions and a good quality product well made. Ideal for a 27" monitor.

It does the job and seems well made, with balck flock on the inside surface to cut reflection. However, you can’t get away from the fact that it is very expensive for what it is. That may reflect the fact that it is a bit of a niche product, but at the end of the day it’s a bit of a rip off.

First of all, it does the job. It’s a nice product with couple of small issues. it doesn’t have a flap to use calibration tool and it’s fiddly to put it on the monitor. When those two come together, calibration process becomes a little annoying too.

The product is good quality. My only issue is it is to heavy for my 27inch Mac screen. I have to prop the screen up to stop it facing down wards.

Well it fits! nice and snug It extends down to level with the picture area of screen which is ideal so I can reach thro to kit at the sides Only downsides 1. No hole for calibration lead not a major problem but would have been nice for the price 2. The weight caused screen to tilt down so I used a block of foam (temporary measure) between back of screen and support making sure not to block vent

This is a very well made hood for computer monitors

Es fácil de montar y encaja bien con un monitos de 27". Aunque dependiendo del monitor debe ser más fácil o más difícil que encaje bien. De todos modos, para lo que es, me parece un poco caro.

It definitely eliminates more than 90% of light reflections and gives a nice contrast to the minitor, I have a 27 inch and it works very well

The hood was able to conform to the edges of my monitor with negligible light leak and even though my monitor is thin the hood has proved to be quite sturdy staying firmly in place when knocked hard.
