Amazing product
Love love love this shampoo. Will stain hands, tub, shower curtain, so do mist Lysol or cleanser containing a bleaching agent after use to prevent awful orange stains in your shower and shower curtain liner!! As for the product, have been using it 2 or 3 times a month the last two years and I adore it. So lucky artec stopped making their color depositing shampoo and I was forced into trying something new by this product is amazing and well worth ever penny and then some. One bottle will last you 3-6 months depending on hair length/ frequency. I don't find it necessary too often because the color deposited really does hold up through multiple washes, dries and styling sessions in my experiences. I shampoo normally with hot water to remove any buildup then smooth in a generous squeeze of this(don't overdo it or you will risk orange hair haha) from just before my roots to he ends. Work into a gentle lather throughout your head but don't scrub too much into your scalp bc it will stain and look pretty goofy. (To note: I have dirty blonde hair with golden blonde highlights throughout and prefer the natural look the warm spice color leaves me with.) Let the sudsy lather sit 5 minutes then I smooth a good conditioner directly onto my sudsy hair for a few more minutes. Rinse with the coolest water you can tolerate. I think the conditioner really seals the color in because after this one shower my hair is noticeably brighter healthier and just glowing with a beautiful auburn tint and my hair looks way better than any expensive trip to the salon. Can't top the compliments I receive on my hair. This is my secret weapon and I highly recommend this warm spice shade if you want just a touch of red without the commitment of "real dye" or even just to slowly build towards committing to strawberry blonde, light auburn or anything bordering the reds. Also a little trick I've learned if your cuticles and the skin under your nails is stained at all from any dyes, scrubbing a little baking soda with a nailbrush/toothbrush helps a lot a lot without drying it out the way nail polish remover or bleach will!!

The Perfect Color Depositing Shampoo
I bought the Wet Brick and it worked like a dream. It left my hair soft, moisturized, and the most beautiful coppery red color. I tried gem lites in fire opal before this and it was a terrible experience that left my hair so dry and tangled. Watercolors is a totally different experience. I am so happy I returned the gem lites and ordered this. For reference I have very dry, damaged hair from bleaching. I am in the process of growing out my bleach blonde, which I've covered with Redken Shades EQ in 07C. The wet brick has revitalized my color and left my hair feeling so healthy. Be aware, this product is very thin/runny and looks brownish orange but give it a chance. It works fabulously. It didn't stain my tub, scalp, or hands. I would highly recommend this shampoo.

Poor packaging !
Package was leaving when it aarrived . I had to rush it to the sink. My hands were full of dye and couldn't take a picture as i had to wash my hands and the item. The item still leaks after several rinsing. There was noticeable crack but once the bottle is tipped it leaked. I dont have time to return it as it will cost me more time than its worth as for some reason after I moved to a gated community, I can no longer ask for a return ups label for free. It costs a $1.00 to drop to ups, $7.00 to get picked up or fall in line at wholefoods to drop it for free. Wish Amazon would make it easier for customers to return as easy as ordering. It would be nice to get a partial refund from seller for the poor packaging. Product was good as usual. This is not my first time ordering this product. Color stays for a month or more. I just finish it up with a good conditioner as it makes my hair stiff. Other than that it beats going to the salon and the shanpoo dye does not leave a dye residue on your hands so no need for a glove either. Just shampoo your hair like normal. Leave for a few minutes and rinse. You end up with a beautiful youthful looking hair.

Best color-depositing shampoo I've tried
I've tried a LOT of color depositing shampoos over the years, and I always come back to this one. I started using this years ago, but suddenly the consistency seemed to change; it was very thin & watery, so I began trying other brands. However, I was never very happy with any of them, so I thought I'd try this one again; and the price had gone down, which was a bonus! Thankfully, the formulation seems to have gone back to what it was--it's much thicker now and easier to use. I have natural Auburn hair which is fading as I get older. I do color my hair, but red dyes are notorious for not lasting long, so it helps to use a color-depositing shampoo in-between coloring. This shampoo adds a nice bit of color: Not too much, but enough to hide a lot of my fading color. After much experimentation, I found the 'Wet Brick' color works best for me -- it gives me warm red tones, rather than some of the other red colors that tend towards cool/burgandy type tones. I've also used the Warm Spice color, but by itself it isn't quite dark enough. I find it works best to mix that with a red color to get the best results. However, the Wet Brick color is perfect for me right now. Other brands I've tried just didn't work as well: The results were either WAY too dark/bright or gave me barely any color at all. Plus they were quite expensive as well. But the Watercolors line does well for me at a great price too.

Chunks of hair fell off when I used it!
I have waist length straight all one length hair. It is not color or chemically treated. As this product warned of avoiding eye contact to prevent blindness, I didn’t want it near my eyes, so I only used it to wash the ponytail of hair I gathered from the back of neck down. I was really shocked when I rinsed that a bunch of locks of hair just fell off, ran down my legs and down the drain. The chunks that fell off are 6-8” long, it’s very noticeable. The lengths left are now crispy strange almost plastic-y texture, absolutely will not hold any curl. My hair is now “fluffy” textured instead of straight and sleek as it was. It looks awful. I’m going to have to cut a lot off the bottom to even it out and remove the most damaged hair. There didn’t appear to be any damaging ingredients or peroxide when I checked the ingredients before ordering. Dismayed and puzzled, never expected this to happen.

excellent to add to blonde hair
I have been using this product for years. I am blonde and in the summer my hair gets very light blonde due to the sun and I don't like that white bleached look. The best way to use this is to put some shampoo in the palm of my hand about the size of a quarter and add a drop of my regular shampoo. Mix it in my hand and wash my hair with it. This gets that white look out and deposits a beautiful light golden, strawberry color. If you want more color then don't add the regualar shampoo and leave on the warm spice about a minute. You will have to play with the warm spice to adjust the color. It is well worth it. I use it about once a month. It washes out but the more you use, the darker or golden your blonde will get.

Natural light golden-strawberry blonde, made my hair too orange
I have natural light golden-strawberry blonde hair. Sometimes in certain light (and to anesthesiologists) it is obviously light red, well light orange, but most of the time, to most people, it's golden blonde. My hair is somewhat fine, wavy and straight in places. This isn't really a shampoo, it's a temporary color wash, which is fine, just wash your hair with something else. It does weigh down my hair until it's starts washing out, 3+ shampoos. I would not say that it is enhancing the red, is it dying it more orange. I've used it three times. The first two were back to back. I liked the color after the first wash (which was 10 minutes). After the second wash (which was longer due to a hot water malfunction) it was too orange and not especially natural looking. Then I waited a week until I felt like I was getting back to my natural color and washed once, 10 minutes or less. Too orange again. I haven't been brave enough to use it more to see if it will get darker. You results may vary, it's certainly worth trying. I'm not quite ready to throw out the bottle. I might wait a while then just do a normal 2-3 minute wash and see what happens... This fall I might be tempted to try one of the red colors, to see what happens. I do like that it's temporary. My natural hair color is not bad at all, and I like knowing that I can get back to it without having to grow my hair out.

It works... Sort of
I'm an aging redhead and my colour is fading to a dark blonde/light brown at the roots/new growth area. I bought this hoping to add a touch of ginger back to my hair. Instead, this did nothing for the majority of my hair except it turned any lighter blonde parts (like my ends) bright orange. Ah... Edited to add: It is VERY DRYING.
