How can a nutritional supplement be "pharmaceutical grade" if it is not an FDA approved pharmaceutical/medication?

Pharmaceutical grade is different than being a an actual pharmaceutical. It applies to how it is manufactured, guaranteeing a certain quality control.

Made in the usa? the label says take “once a daily.”

Not certain where it is made but I am not a fan of this product. I switched to the Amazing Formulas which is definitely made in the USA. It only has 1000 in 2 capsules but it is one of the brands recommended and tested by Consumer Lab for purity. It depends what you are taking it for as far as dosage. My cardiologist has me on 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening as I cannot tolerate statins.

What does the hcl mean?

It means great price, professional-looking bottles, and decent results.

What is the purity level?

In two capsules you get 1200mg of Berberine HCL. I’ve read that the HCL indicates the berberine has been chemically altered. The only other ingredient is in the capsule itself. vegetable cellulose makes up the capsule.
