Effective and balanced
It's a 50cc engine chain saw - fairly loud as you'd expect, but had no problems cutting some very overgrown bushes down several feet, going through inch-thick live branches without much difficulty. I can't speak for long-term reliability, but it did the job it was bought to do without fault.

Excellent quality chainsaw with plenty of power.
This is an excellent quality chainsaw it's a husqavana with a different casing and it's just as good as the equivalent model Stihl which is over six hundred pounds it only comes with a 13" bar so I bought a 18" Oregon speedcut bar and chain for my saw they are a bit more expensive than the ordinary bar's but they are worth the extra few pounds I bought my saw off Amazon prime when it was ยฃ269 that's what I call a real bargain by the way I bought a jonsered 2036 turbo chainsaw 14 years ago and it's still going strong today so if you want an excellent quality chainsaw at a very good price buy this one you won't regret it.

Easy to start, lots of safety features and oozing quality. Highly recommended.
I've had cause to cut down a tree or two frequently enough to possess a chainsaw and was pleased to upgrade my mains powered cheap and cheerful chainsaw to this more professional IC model. It has a 50cc two stroke petrol engine with easy starting and is supplied with a 13" (33cm) bar although it can take an 18" (45cm) bar - you'll need a chain to match. The chainsaw needs some assembly when it arrives - the chain and bar need assembling and attaching to the main body of the chainsaw but a 'multitool' is provided (screwdriver at one end, socket spanner at the other) to put it together. About the only thing you can do wrongly here is to put the chain on the wrong way round, but the assembly instructions, despite being short, are very thorough. If you're 'upgrading' like me from a chainsaw that came pre-assembled then you'll need to be aware that this one needs running in and the chain tension checking regularly as you do so. You'll need to mix some 2-stroke oil with your unleaded petrol, the manual provides the ratio and volumes - and you will need chain oil which is not provided. The fuel tank holds half a litre (about a pint) and the chain oil tank a quarter of a litre. Finally this chainsaw is significantly noisier than my old mains powered one so you'll need ear defenders to go with your hard hat, gloves and goggles. Needless to say none of these are provided. The manual has pages and pages on safe operation and safety equipment, great for a novice although I wouldn't recommend anybody just pick one of these up and start using it. If you're not a professional I think it is well worth starting with a cheaper electric model which is, frankly, less daunting! In operation - well yes it's a noisy one but there's plenty of punch (3.2hp to be precise) - and glides through branches and trunks relatively effortlessly especially when the chain is new and therefore not yet blunt. Assembled with full tanks you're looking at a weight of around 7kg (5kg plus bar, chain and fluids) and Jonsered have got the font handle position just right - making this chainsaw nicely balanced. Other handy features include an air intake designed to prevent sawdust ingestion and a built-in battery to make starting so much easier. In short, it is very effective. Easy to start, lots of safety features and oozing quality. This company really knows what it is doing. Highly recommended.

Solids, reliable, ergonomic and lots of safety features
50cc two stroke engine, built like a tank and really good ergonomics. Works very well on everything i've tried it on from pine/lumber to old growth hardwood which need a trim. Light enough for easy use and easy to assemble. You'll need chain oil and some familiarity of how to mix two stroke/petrol, it's not as simple as a battery or mails saw but it's vastly more flexible and powerful. the 3.25hp engine is a noisy as heck and you'll need ear protection but it's beefy and powerful and a pleasure to use. If you need something like this, this is a very good option.

A brilliant semi-pro tool
Very impressed by this. Assembled in 15 minutes, can fell small trees easily and can use all day without it tiring my arm: chain has stayed sharp throughout. I particularly like the compact body, as it makes it easy to get into awkward spots. The 13 inch bar is a very sensible and manageable size and the 50cc capacity is more than enough power for small to medium size jobs. In fact, if youโre just starting out and not likely to use a chainsaw regularly this might be too good. Otherwise, itโs a true economy for the fairly regular user. Jonsered are one of the best names in the business and at ยฃ306 it's very keenly priced.
