NuNaturals White Stevia Powder Packets, Single-Serve, Zero Calorie Sugar Substitute, 100 count

This was the stevia I used when it was called "Nustevia." When it disappeared from store shelves, I thought it had been discontinued. Then I learned it had simply been renamed, but this reincarnation never appeared on store shelves. Amazon to the rescue, as usual! And it's the same, quality stevia I remember. This has no additives such as sugar alcohols, which I don't want and which are ending up in some brands. This stevia has a very subtle "licorice-y" flavor, which I like. And I never need to use the entire packet at once, which makes it very cost effective. Just FYI, because pure cane sugar has *no* taste, people talk about the "aftertaste" of alternative sweeteners, but that's simply their unique taste. Just as molasses and honey, for example, have their own detectable taste, so does stevia, though it is subtle. Anyone looking for an alternative sweetener should like this. And those who, like me, enjoyed the original Nustevia will be happy to know that the only change was to their name.

This product is a high-quality sweetener made of a natural ingredient that leaves no bitter aftertaste. I only need half the amount of other sweeteners.

Great taste for a sugar substitute

A friend introduced me to this brand of Stevia over two years ago & now I don't use anything else.This is also the best price I have found for this brand of Stevia packets when compared to about ten other internet suppliers.In addition,some Stevia products are not as pure as the NuNaturals brand which uses only all natural products.NuNaturals uses the Stevia leaf to make an extract powder,therefore it is much sweeter & lacks an after taste & bitterness found in other Stevia products.In the long run,you will use less & save more money.You probably have some of these Stevia brands on your table right now,or you use them at your local coffee shop.Furthermore,some Stevia manufacturers use fillers in their products.They mix them in with a less pure Stevia in order to make an inferior product at a premium price.If you don't read the ingredients,know about additives or understand the process used to make their products,you may be purchasing a mediocre product at an inflated price.Some fillers that are commonly used in this manufacturing of Stevia products are:artificial flavors,sodium,proteins,fiber &,sugar.The sugars are in the form of monosaccharides, disaccharides & polysaccharides which are sugars in different forms.These sugars may be listed on a label in many deceiving ways,sometimes individually or as combined forms in order to confuse the consumer.The "hidden" sugars may also be listed individually or as a group using a combination of scientific names or by common lay terms.For example,carbohydrates,cellulose,fructose,honey,maltodextrin,starch,monoglycerides, corn starch,molasses & corn syrup.There are many more forms of "hidden" sugars found in product labeling such as sucrose, sucralose,fructose,lactose,amylose,mannitol,sorbitol,xylitol,galactose,cellulose,dextrose,polydextrose,starch,invert sugar,corn syrup & many,many more.The brand NuNaturals & this particular product of Stevia extract powder does not contain these fillers or sugars.Afterall,when choosing a sugar replacement consumers should not have to have a degree in Nutrition to avoid hidden sugars in the substitute product they choose.Isn't that the whole point of using a substitute in the first place?

I usually use Splenda in my coffee (2-4 packets a day) but as I get older, I'm worried about my health. I did a search for best tasting stevia based sweeteners and this came up. Compared to Splenda, the sweetness in NuNaturals seemed less rich. Compared to Truvia, another stevia-based sweetener, NuNatural is WAY better...there is less of a bitter aftertaste. You can definitely tell it's stevia but it's less obvious. The World Health Organization released a guideline in 2023 that non-sugar sweeteners (including Splenda (sucralose) and stevia) does not help with weight control in the long term. Bummer. If that is the case, and if there aren't any conclusive evidence that stevia-based sweeteners are "healthier" than sucralose then I might go back to Splenda.

I have been using this brand for years for everything from my morning coffee, greek yoghurt and baking. Tastes fantastic, all-natural without any weird after taste. I prefer the packets as I am a little odd in that everything has to be measured out! I use 1 packet, with 2 tablespoons of coffee in my 'special coffee mug'! A perfect cup of coffee every time, without the calories.

It contains maltodextrin that is not good for blood sugar. Please do not purchase it. I am having hard time to return it.

Habe seit ca. 2 Jahren keinen Zucker mehr im Haus. Schmeckt sehr neutral, kein unangenehmer Nachgeschmack . Eine sehr gute Alternative zum Zucker, wenn man Ihn überhaupt noch braucht.
