I absolutely love this brand and this shampoo is amazing. It’s very moisturizing and leaves my hair feeling soft, hydrated, and healthy. It also has a really pleasant smell. Great option if you have dry or curly hair.

Great for curls/ definition and works better than other more expensive brands

I love this shampoo. It's great for thick curly hair. It smells really great, makes hair super soft and I feel that it helps define curls. Of all the times I have ordered this only once did it leak in shipping and it only leaked a little. You get a decent amount for the price. I am happy with it and will keep using it!

About 2 years ago, I began using the curly girl method on my hair and stopped using heat of any kind. Unfortunately, many of the natural shampoos and conditioners can be quite expensive, so I like to purchase this brand shampoo from time to time. Other reviews were stating this shampoo made their hair hard to comb, but using this with some kinky curly knot today conditioner made my 2c/3a curls soft and manageable. I lightly dry my hair and scrunch argan and jojoba oil into my hair for an easy wash and go style. This shampoo is great if you're on a budget or just to hold you over until you can buy a more expensive brand. It's not the best out there for sure, but it works. It smells pretty good and works better on my hair than devacurl, to be honest.

This is a great shampoo! I used it with the matching conditioner. I have thick, curly hair and it made my hair feel so smooth.

Full disclosure-- In an attempt to use as few products as possible (I only buy what's necessary, I hate collecting bottles of things) I used to use an apple cider vinegar rinse and some conditioner. This was okay for my hair, but it wasn't the best. Enter this product (recommended to me by another curly friend). I now wash with this , follow it with an herbal rinse, then use a Maui Moisture hair butter to detangle and style my hair. I like the way the shampoo makes my hair feel. It's clean but it's still moisturized. A fair word of warning-- I did use this after doing an oil treatment once and it did NOT get all the oil out. Be mindful of that. You may need something more powerful. However, since I started using this shampoo, I no longer feel the need to pre-poo with oil. Love this stuff!

For context, I have 4A-4b hair (coily hair). Beginning with the good stuff, the shampoo smells really good, it has decent value, and it really does make your hair clean. With that said, that literally is it: it makes your hair clean. No moisture retention, no added softness, no breakage prevention. My hair did feel clean, but it was also left really dry. Maybe this is great for other hair textures or those with different porosity, but I wouldn't recommend with my hair, unless you'll be doing an extensive conditioning treatment.
