Great tutorial book! Love it! Specially since I like the cartoony style.

This book, aside from having some truly top notch illustrations in it, also has an impressive amount of useful information for beginners as well as those of us who have been drawing for decades. The section on color theory is really well put together, and is a standout of the book for me. The information throughout the book is very easy to read and understand, though some of the page layouts can get a bit visually overwhelming (I mean, that should be a staple of ANY art instruction book - art is not a clean tidy undertaking, so why teach it that way). Once you get used to that, everything is presented well, and the chapters are divided up nicely into categories to make referencing certain things later on a bit easier. My daughters are just beginning their art journey, and both of them are enjoying this book as much as I am, and we are all finding really useful stuff in its pages. So again, good for beginners and seasoned artists.

This book is such a joy to look at. It's what good art should be- FULL OF LIFE. It's a little lite on text instruction but I completely enjoyed it! He's one of the amazing artists on I Hate Fairyland.

If you're starting to learn about drawing / illustration, this book is for you. If you're an Illustrator with 20+ years of experience like I am, this book is for you as well!!. Yes, the fundamentals like shape, color, hatching, etc. are there but also A LOT more! Brett takes the learner through all concepts with a friendly & easy to follow approach and he knows how to exemplify them with clear and impactful graphics. Do not get this book mixed up with those run-of-the mill "learn how-to-draw" books that appeal to the eye at the store but end up teaching you very little. This is a well-structured, thoroughly researched and one-of-a-kind Masterclass. Buy it now!

Fantastic! One of my favorite books

I have a couple shelves worth of drawing books, and make a lot of art in my free time, but I spent the last 24 hours exploring the pages and it’s a fantastic resource for artists of all ages. Even if you don’t draw, it’s filled with beautiful drawings. Highly recommend.

This is the book I have been looking for forever. Draw is funny and easy to follow with exercises as you go. Brett Bean is super knowlegble and one of the best in the business.

No me parece un libro para aprender a dibujar como tal. Son más bien consejos sobre diferentes temas que se ven rápido. La edición y la calidad de los dibujos es excelente, el texto también esta bastante bien.

Das wird sicherlich eines meiner Lieblingsbücher. Allein schon die vielen Zeichnungen von Brett Bean machen das Buch lohnenswert. Kurz und unterhaltsam erklärt er alles was wichtig ist, um seine zeichnerischen Fähigkeiten zu verbessern. Und das auf sehr sympathische Art und Weise.
