This durable, moisture-resistant encaustic paint offers vibrant translucent colors that can be layered, carved, and reworked over time. Handmade in the USA, the set includes a free 6x6” Ampersand Encausticbord, making it perfect for professional artists seeking a versatile, long-lasting medium. ## Description R&F Encaustic paint is composed of 100-percent pure pharmaceutical grade beeswax, Singapore-grade damar resin and pigments. Beeswax is impervious to moisture making encaustic paint extremely durable. There is no need to varnish or protect your painting with glass. It will not deteriorate, yellow or darken. Encaustic paint is kept molten on a heated palette. It is then applied to an absorbent surface and is fused to create a variety of effects. Encaustic goes from a liquid to solid state and back again in seconds giving you the opportunity to add layers without disrupting your composition. Once the surface has cooled, the paint has reached a permanent finish, but with heat, you can revise and rework your painting minutes or years later. This highly versatile medium can be polished to a high gloss, carved, scraped, layered, collaged, dipped, cast, modeled, sculpted, textured and combine with oil. This set is a collection of some of R&F's most vivid, translucent colors. You will be amazed at the effects you can create with this set of jewel-toned paints. The R&F Pigment Stick Translucent Set contains 40-ml encaustic cakes. It includes one each of Indian Yellow, Alizarin Orange, Alizarin Crimson, Egyptian Violet, Ultramarine Blue and Viridian. Also included is a free 6-Inch by 6-Inch cradled Encausticbord by Ampersand. ## Features - Made from pure USP beeswax, Singapore-grade damar resin and pigment - Translucent set of 6 colors - Alizarin Orange and Crimson, Egyptian Violet, In - Color is heavily pigmented, filtered without chemicals - Includes free Ampersand Encausticbord - 40ml cakes hand made in the USA ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004HL1VQK | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #59,583 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #1,197 in Art Paints | | Brand | R&F | | Brand Name | R&F | | Color | Multi | | Color Code | Not Available | | Container Type | Can | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 42 Reviews | | Finish Type | Matte | | Full Cure Time | 5 minutes | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00836943009196 | | Included Components | Canvas Board | | Is Waterproof | True | | Item Form | Wax Paint | | Item Type Name | Set | | Item Volume | 1.35 fluid ounces | | Manufacturer | R&F Handmade Paints | | Model Name | R&F Handmade Paints - Professional Encaustic Paint - Translucent Colors, Set of 6 40ml | | Model Number | 1990 | | Paint Type | Encaustic | | Part Number | 1990 | | Size | 8.11 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) | | Special Feature | Non Toxic | | Special Features | Non Toxic | | Specific Uses For Product | Interior/Exterior | | Surface Recommendation | Paper | | UPC | 791836821906 836943009196 | | Unit Count | 8.11 Fluid Ounces | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** R&F - **Color:** Multi - **Finish Type:** Matte - **Item Volume:** 1.35 fluid ounces - **Paint Type:** Encaustic - **Size:** 8.11 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) - **Special Feature:** Non Toxic - **Specific Uses For Product:** Interior/Exterior - **Surface Recommendation:** Paper - **Unit Count:** 8.11 Fluid Ounces ## Images ![Encaustic Translucent Color Set - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81upd34SzaL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - R&F Handmade Paints - Professional Encaustic Paint - Translucent Colors, Set of 6 40ml - R&F Handmade Paints Encaustic Medium Bagged Paint, 1-Pound - R&F Artist Encaustic Paint, Ancient Gold, 40 ml --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://lithuania.desertcart.com/products/6057620-encaustic-translucent-color-set](https://lithuania.desertcart.com/products/6057620-encaustic-translucent-color-set) --- *Product available on Desertcart Lithuania* *Store origin: LT* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
