i am going to give a long winded explanation of my experience, but summary: if you’re a female and think your acne is caused by high androgens, BUY THIS! first of all i am 22 and female and have tried EVERYTHING when it comes to hormonal acne — dozens of prescription creams/washes, accutane, spironolactone, daily antibiotics, birth control, etc. and i never dreamed i would find a holistic cure to my acne like spearmint. my full backstory: birth control and spironolactone cleared my hormonal acne, but i found out i can’t take spironolactone because it messed up my period, and i didn’t want to be on the pill so i was at a loss. my skin was getting worse and worse, and was at it’s all time worst this past winter — cystic acne on my cheeks which i never experienced before, acne ALL over my forehead, just acne everywhere a new ones would come everyday. i didn’t want to see anyone and i felt so ugly. then i read this random website about drinking spearmint tea to decrease androgens in females (which are like male hormones thought to cause acne, etc) so i decided to try it — 3 cups/day — with literally zero expectations. within FIVE days my skin was the clearest it had been in months. i was sure i had found a miracle cure. but then, i missed my period and had stomach issues from the tea so i stopped drinking so much and my acne came back. i was DEVASTATED because i didn’t want to take any more prescriptions. in retrospect you’d probably be fine just drinking 1-2 cups per day but whatever. then i found these. these spearmint supplements SAVED my skin! i take them every other day, and they have almost completely cleared my acne. i feel like they help with inflammation and other hormonal issues too. i try to map out when i breakout during my cycle and take more then, but it really feels kind of fool proof. the supplements are 10x more effective at clearing my skin than the tea was, with no more stomach issues and i get my period completely normally! seriously — why don’t doctors tell you this??? anyway if i can help just one girl who has suffered from acne for as long as she can remember, i will be so glad! i’ve already gotten on of my friends on the bandwagon and she also swears by spearmint now! seriously, if you’re about to give up hope — try this!

I have only been taking this for a few days and I feel like I can see a difference in my skin and hair on my chin. I am happy with the results so far and I am hoping it only gets better the longer I take it. It has a nice scent and no issues on my stomach. Would recommend to anyone struggling with PCOS chin hair/acne.

4 stars because the value is great, and it’s much easier than making and chugging a bunch of tea all day (I don’t personally like tea). Minus 1 star because these give me some weird heartburn-like effects if taken on an empty stomach, and they’re a bit hard to swallow. The spearmint burps are real and a little offputting. I have hormonal acne caused by my Mirena IUD. It’s cystic and cyclic and generally hard to treat. If I take two of these a day, it does seem to prevent some occurrences of cystic acne, but due to all the extra estrogen it introduces, I get other symptoms instead. I also have not noticed a decrease in the oiliness of my skin, but I haven’t exactly been taking them consistently. I take one a day and try to take two a day near my cycle, but I’ve only been taking them for a month or so, and I’m not sure that’s quite long enough to know for sure. They definitely mess with your hormones, so please try to consult with a doctor before taking them if you can. I was instructed to take these by my physician, and if I wasn’t, I’d be wary of adding all this estrogen to my body. If you’re someone who has to avoid birth control pills due to the estrogen, you may potentially put yourself at the same risk by taking these, so just exercise caution.

Came across these spearmint pill and they have helped with my PCOS symptoms. They are easy to take and they don't have a strong taste. They have became a daily for me.

Started taking this to help with hormonal acne!this picture was in February second is in May big difference I do not have 20 plus break outs at once. Let this be your sign to buy it! Dont wait just buy it! Only issue is you have to drink a lot of water it doesn’t stay down but if it does come up at least it doesn’t taste bad lol

Used for 2 months (ordered second bottle from another website because out of stock on amazon, it hasn't reached yet) and definitely saw a reduction (not 100%, around 60%) in hirsutism. No improvement in my moderate acne. Stopped spotting. Regularised flow. Took 1 capsule at night after dinner. Your mileage may vary. I was working out 30-40 mins a day and eating home food, no strict dieting, but after my PCOD diagnosis, even working out didn't help me alone, so I definitely attribute some success to this.

Seems to do what I need it to do. Hormones are starting to balance. I've lost some weight too which is almost impossible to do with PCOS.
