How To Knit: A Complete Guide for Absolute Beginners

Great beginners book - I found this very easy to follow and appreciated the very detailed illustrations which made every step super clear. I have already made some mittens, which were so easy I am now making several more pairs as gifts. After that, I plan to tackle some matching hats in different stitches. Great e-book!

My niece and I wanted to learn knitting together so I chose this as the projects looked cute and there were some great choices that we could each enjoy making. Lovely book, very easy to follow and pretty full color illustrations. We were both knitting right away and have made a lovely scarf and matching hat. We're now starting on some cute bunnies for her room. Lovely book at a great price.

The book is a great help with the beginning of your knitting adventure. It is perfect for the Kindle and u destroy easily

I have a How to Sew book by the same author,whcih I enjoyed greatly. Very pleased with this introduction to knitting. Easy and clear instructions, pretty items to make, and for a newbie like me, very well explained and easy to follow. Just what I was looking for. Recommended

When I decided that I wanted to try my hand at knitting, I picked up three beginners' books. I find that most crafty instructional books are great at some parts of the instructions, but not so great at others--meaning if you can't quite wrap your head around one set of instructions for casting on stitches, another set from another book might make things clearer. I had trouble grasping how to remember whether I was knitting or purling from one row to another, but this book had an image that made it easy to tell while the others didn't. On the other hand, when I couldn't figure out how I was accidentally knitting increases on each row, it was a different book that put me straight. How To Knit is okay, but not great. Also, after just a couple of weeks some of the pages are falling out.

Even though you might expect that this would just be a little book of fun projects for children, I was able to accomplish far more than I imagined just starting out. The reason is that this little book is dynamic in its presentation. Lots of pictures are always helpful. Comparison charts between metric(the rest of the world) and us is super when one is shopping for supplies. Lots of fun things to work on...functional and fun. Mine goes with me in my project bag, and while I shop!

We had a early Christmas exchange. My 12 year old granddaughter who has taught herself to knit was very excited to get this book. I would say it is a very elementary level book. Has good illustrations.

It's a cute book to learn how to knit. I don't know how to knit. Haven't had the time .

The instructions in the book are very clearly laid out for beginners and for people who want to update their skills and might want to learn how to do things and other ways.

I bought this on my kindle fire purely because I wanted to read something straight away and it wasn't an expensive purchase. What a bargain! Within seconds, I was reading about changing will colours, increasing and decreasing stitches, casting on, knit stitch and purl stitch complete with colour photographs and steep by step instructions. Very useful and all art the touch of a button. Would definitely recommend to get you familiarised with the subject.

Got this to read on my ipad as I’ve started to realise that e books are so much cheaper ( and kill less trees !) than buying new craft books all the time. What a great beginners book. I found the colour illustrations easy to follow and the projects look great – a nice variety. I’ve made the pom pom scarf for my son and am about to tackle the matching hat for him. Really good beginners book, highly recommended.
