What a fantastic product, it’s sturdy, it has a consistent tamper, fits well in both my Gaggia classic portafilter and my KofiKofi bottomless portafilter.

Making a good puck requires, among other things, that the upper surface be absolutely horizontal. This guarantees that. I also like the concentric circles in the surface pattern, they fit in with a good puck screen. As for the uniform density of the puck, you do need separately some means of distributing the ground coffee. Your choice on that. This solves the problem of the horizontality of the upper surface, totally. Best tamper I have.

These look great. They feel solid in your hand, and they click at the right pressure. But there is just enough play in the barrel for the leveler that you can still get an uneven tamp and the channeling that comes with it. So you still have to be careful and trust your own alignment. I wonder if they built the leveler barrel to tighter tolerances if it might bind. So that might be the issue but I still use it because the pressure seems right. Just be careful to be aligned and don't rely on the tamper to self level.

This tamper is a good option for someone looking for a spring loaded tamper. I really enjoy the clicking sound when tamping. Good quality also.

There are a lot of options for these out there, but I have other tools from this brand and they are all high quality. Glad I bought it.

I could tell just by feel that the pressure was way off. There's no adjustment available and I checked it on my scale and the most I got was 20lb. Great idea if it worked. I think everyone reviewing this just assumes what the company says is true without actually testing.
