Best drive on the market.
I’ve been using LaCie drives for a number of years now and they have been nothing short of reliable and sturdy. Plug and play ready, easy to setup and use, and most importantly easy on the pocket book. They are not cheap, but they are so worth the money. The large capacity is perfect for daily backups and is multi system compatible.

Beauty queen of external hard drives
Excellent design which I have not seen in any portable hard drive. It is big in size and those of you who are used to slim SSDs manage your expectations. Nothing special in functionality, it just works.

For a Mac, it needs to be plugged into the computer, not the monitor, if separate.
This external HD is very attractive and (now!) seems to work well. Initially I decided to send it back as I could not get it to work with my Mac. Then I got some technical advice from a very good person at the local Apple store. It turns out this drive, which is set up for a PC, has to be attached directly to the computer itself to be reformatted to work with a Mac. I have a Mac Mini and a separate monitor. I had plugged it into a port on the monitor. Now fine. Relatively easy to set up. Not sending it back.

JUNK . . . does not work with Time Machine
This drive does not work with Time Machine as it does not recognize when it is time to backup system. This is a complete waste of money, Stay away

Ho spesso necessità di ulteriore spazio per archiviare foto ed ho preso questo piccolo HD SSD da due tera, certo, 2TB. Arrivato in un giorno, bello, pratico, leggero. L'ho installato sul mio MacBook senza formattare nulla. Lo uso da diversi mesi e per il mio utilizzo è perfetto.
