The lantern is well maid and heavy , batteries last about 3weeks when you have it on a 5 hr timed program. When lit they are so pretty , a lot of people have commented on them. All in all a tasteful ... Quality Christmas decoration .

Firstly I was so impressed with this item last year that I bought another as a gift. They really are quite mesmerisingly beautiful and really put you in a Christmassy mood. I felt 5 years old again! In fact, to be honest, I’d rather watch this for an hour or two than all the dross masquerading as ‘entertainment’ which inevitably features on our TV screens over the festive season! You also have the assurance of knowing that because it’s made in Germany it won’t have fallen apart or stopped working by the time the festive season is over. My partner, saw mine and equally enchanted, bought a couple for his friends also. A few weeks ago I bought a couple more and went to purchase batteries to insert in each lamp before giving to the recipients in time for Christmas. Trouble is that the listing information is incorrect. Please note that the batteries required are larger than stated, i.e. 3 x C 1.5 V -which may be more expensive also. Having now opened a multi pack of AA’s I bought for the purpose, I won’t be permitted a refund from the store I purchased them, which is frustrating. Obviously either the listing info, or the product design has changed since last year. Don’t be disappointed.

Really pleased with my Christmas lantern heavy and well made much better than I expected for the price would definitely recommend this item. Cannot wait to put in my window,when lite the glitter loves lovely with the Christmas Carol figures

Love this little latern - the only drawback is that it is not rechargeable, so best to get rechargeable batteries. The 5 hour turn on/turn off at times has a mind of it's own as well! But it does give a lovely serene glow. Have bought another one, different figures inside as we really like it.

A WOW piece of kit. Absolutely gorgeous at any time, but especially in low light. Cheap batteries last two or three days when set to timer, but Duracells are worth buying as they last a good bit longer. I've now bought three Konstsmide Lanterns and they are all stunning. Will probably buy one or two more for myself and some others as gifts next Christmas. They're that good! *Highly Recommended*

This lantern fools quite a few people as it really looks like metal but is in fact resin. it is quite weighty due to the liquid. the timer function is a great touch . it looks great as a centre piece on my mantle piece. the only thing i can say against it is that it seems to have been overloaded with glitter so when it is operating it is not a gentle snow fall but an artic whiteout, you can barely see the characters inside. as for the battery life i cannot say as I have had it on for 25 hours so far and it dosent seem to be dimming.

Die Laterne ist soooooo schön - jeder, der sie sieht, kommt ins Schwärmen, so dass ich sie jetzt auch einem ganz lieben Menschen geschenkt habe, den sie auch verzaubert hat. Das Charles Dickens Motiv ist absolut zeitlos und im Gegensatz zu ähnlichen Artikeln überhaupt nicht kitschig. Das Glitzern und Funkeln erinnert an Schneeflocken, die im Schein einer Straßenlaterne langsam niederschweben. Es ist so beruhigend und heimelig, dass man selbst wieder zum Kind wird. Ein leuchtender Moment aus weihnachtlichen Erinnerungen.
