The Never Girls Collection #2 (Disney: The Never Girls): Books 5-8

My granddaughter was given the 1st set of these books for her 6th birthday, and she loved them, so have now bought her the 2nd set. She is just able to read them herself (now 6.5 years old and a good reader) but enjoys having them read to her.

I bought these as a birthday present and got such satisfaction when the the recipient squealed with delight! (She was 8) She had already read the first set and was excited to read these too.

Rating:5/5 ⭐️ Genre: Fantasy, children’s, Disney collection My 7 year-old daughter LOVES this series! She was not reading the best for her age. I started to make reading fun and then told her I would get her any book she wanted and we would work together and read it. She saw this series and she couldn’t be happier. She loves Tinker bell, fairies and adventure. She started reading these books; which are chapter books mind you. I told her let’s set a goal and if in 6 months she read all 4 books, I would get her the second set. She read all 3 books in a little over 2 months! She couldn’t put them down! I would ask questions and make her retell to ensure she was truly reading with understanding. It just sparked something in her and now she reads EVERY SINGLE DAY. She loves telling me what's going on in her book and retelling her adventure! She is now on the 3rd set (there are 4 sets with 4 books each plus 1 more making it a total of 13 books total plus a special Christmas book). On average the books are about 115 pages.

Generally speaken the Never Girls are great books. But in detail concerning collection 2 in my view "Far from shore" and "The woods beyond" are just OK whereas "A pinch of magic" and "Wedding wings" are awesome.
