Tech Wash 34 fl. oz Tech Wash Technical Cleaner for Jackets and Outerwear, Restores Waterproofing in Rain, Ski, and Snow Gear, Safe for Gore-Tex and DWR

This works great on our rain gear, both Gore-tex and Bass Pros Bone Dry plus. If your gear gets accidentally washed in regular detergent ( which plugs it, losing its waterproofing) this will clean the fabric and make it water proof again.

My husband and I both ride, and logging miles in SoCal adds lots of crud to our jackets. I bought this to wash our Rev'it Airwave2 and GT-R Air2 jackets in, a lot of white textile which had now become pretty dingy grey. Because I foresee lots of washings, I bought the liter bottle for economy. I hand washed each jacket separately in a plastic tub, so I figured to use less Nikwax. I also used a toothbrush (dipped directly into the bottle) to scrub the really soiled areas, giving it a good amount of work. Needless to say, I was extremely pleased with the final appearance, the road grime and exhaust soil washed out excellently, and our jackets were returned to their original white condition. I decided to do my husband's work commute jacket, a darker Cortech model, but still with white patterns and very soiled. I employed the same effort, soaking the jacket, and using the toothbrush to scrub the white and red regions. I took the photo shortly after I began working on the jacket, it shows the jacket after it had soaked a few minutes, and I had just started using the toothbrush. The brightness really began to return to the white, and the red piping and slashes also brightened up after some scrubbing. The wash tub water was really ugly and dark with all the removed grime. I used a separate plastic tub for the rinsing, three good dunks and swishing to get out as much residue as possible, and then a final hose off and hanging it up outside to air dry. I/we are very pleased with the results, and can recommend the Nikwax for motorcycle clothing, as that was our use. We obtained excellent results, had no issues with any odors afterwards, and it rinsed out cleanly. We have worn the jackets since, with no issues. Well worth the cost and effort to protect the investment we have made in quality riding gear.

Works great on my Flylow Roswell jacket

This product is a great product and while the price seems high it really is a great value for the money because this bottle will last a very long time. Very easy to use just place recommended amount into washer once it’s full. The scent is a little strong but my experience it goes away once the clothes are dry. Your gear will be back to repelling water like new again. My only complaint is I purchased this huge bottle which was still almost completely full the temp outside rose to 98 for a couple weeks and the bottle somehow broke open at the bottom and almost all the product drained out before I noticed. I have maybe 20 ounces left so I would definitely keep an eye on the bottle if in the same situation. Maybe nikwax can read this and help me out with a replacement.

This laundry detergent was used on my Red Head bone dry hunting jacket and pants. With no scent it’s great for waterproof hunting gear that needs to be washed. I cleaned off the mud and blood with ease. It helps restore the waterproof nature of the outer material instead of removing it like normal detergent. High quality products that does exactly as intended.

I use this to wash my tent in the laundry room sink, after I parked my tent under some sort of cherry or smoked cherry tree for 4 or 5 days and it got sticky on the outside. I used it according to directions, it cleaned my tent great. It was simple and straightforward

Love this product for my winter gear. Use with caution, and follow directions on bottle.

Great delicate wash for coats, gloves, pants etc. Combine with the spray on waterproofing and your gear will seem like brand new! You can get about 8 garments out of this. I used half a bottle for 2 pairs of gloves, 1 pair of small snowboard pants & 1 large snowboard jacket.
