Amazing for Kamado Joe/Green egg gasket repair
The gasket on my Kamado Joe ceramic oven was detaching from the ceramic, and after a lot of research I tried this product. I know it's meant to be an automative product however forums suggested using this type of compound. In engines there will be a very thin layer, but repairing the Kamado needed it to be used like toothpaste. It has very low tack when un cured, therefore you need to re seat the gasket a step at a time- I did it in 10cm sections each side. It's also useful to weight the lid down to compress the gasket onto the ceramic as it cures- I used a 7KG dumbbell suspended from the lid handle. The product has worked well and is still strong after a lot of heat and cooking.

Better than exhaust cement when fitting a new silencer
When working on my exhaust I've previously used exhaust cement which sets like actual cement and is not flexible, therefore it never lasted very long on my exhaust joint before it started to leak as that moves/flexes a lot. This silicone worked a treat and remains slightly flexible to maintain an airtight joint over time. In future I will always use this when fitting a new silencer.

High temperature silicone sealant.
Been using this for years now, brilliant stuff. Used this tube in the assembly of an outboard motor, (not the head gasket or exhaust) but pretty much all the other joints. Works very well. It does go hard in the tube after a year or so, but so do all silicon products. Next day delivery via prime is a real bonus when you realise your old tube has gone off 👍

Used with new exhaust system
I used this item in conjunction with a new exhaust system that I installed. I purchased this as the crush gaskets didn't look as though they would create a tight enough seal. No leaks after installation, which may have come down to the mixture of new gaskets and this item. I was expecting some sort of leak, but happy to report that the car started up, leak free.

More purposes than you think.
I used this for a couple of joints on my exhaust before putting new clamps on as I don't like the usual exhaust paste that places lile halfords sell. Was recommended to me to use this and so far so good only been done for a day or two but for now I can't feel any air leaks and this product is nice and applyable however the tube could be better you have to squeeze pretty hard to get the sealent to come out and also its a shame about the colour but at the end of the day it is under the car I guess and you dont see it. So I'd give an 8/10 all in all for this product I'm happy enough and would buy again if needed.

Does more than it says on the tube.
I purchased this product after trying several other alternatives. I had a crack in the weld between my catalytic converter and the main exhaust pipe. I had it reweldeded a few times until the weld would not take any more. I couldn't afford at the time to buy a new cat for the exhaust system. So out of desperation I did some research and found this product. I took the welded joint apart and generously replaced it with the silicone making sure everything was sealed. The colour was awlful but hey who was going to look under the car but a mechanic. I left it for 24 hours. To my surprise the silicone had worked! This job got me through for 3 months until I got my Cat replaced. Truely recommended product. I would use it again not only for it's intended purpose but for any exhaust system leaks.
