I purchased a pair of these pliers for my sea fishing tackle box, because they are stainless. They look slightly strange, but on inspection and in use I realised that they are superb. I started taking them from my sea fishing box to use when pike fishing, then for my trout fishing and again for my carp fishing......I do a lot of fishing!! I walk long distances when fishing and refuse to carry anything that isn't up to the job, but remembering to put these in the bag or box for that days fishing did become a problem. Simple solution.....I bought a second pair ! I will also buy a third and a fourth pair. They are very well designed and made. Light, comfortable in the hand, stainless, great for crimping, hook removal, they cut mono including shock leader they also cut braid perfectly ! and a great many other uses. A piece of kit that every angler should have and at a price that is way lower than I would expect to pay.

Nice little tool to have in your pocket. I don't use the pouch provided as it's more trouble to remove than in your pocket. Does pretty much everything except crimp shot properly. Otherwise good value for the money.

This was a gift for my 11 year old grandson. He hasn’t just been to Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe where they were catching tiger fish and barbel. His words to me is that they are very very good and can even cut steel. He used them lots on the trip and they are still in good working order so will be used for many more.

I've found these to be a very useful addition to my tackle box as they are able to perform a variety of tasks. Good value for money and recommended.

These pliers are OK but nothing to shout about, they seem to be well made, they just don't do everything very well, except! They are excellent at cutting mono and braid, they feel comfy to hold and come in a nice little sheath. But I found crimping was useless even with the smallest of crimps, how ever hard I squeezed there was now way that crimp was gripping the line. I also found the nose was pretty useless with split rings, it was quicker and easier using my finger nails on split rings between 4.5 mm and ones around 15 mm. Haven't used them at sea yet to comment on how good the stainless steel copes with the elements, and I haven't used them to unhook any fish, not that I would use these for that task anyway...
