Viceroybedding Luxury Goose Feather and Down Duvet / Quilt , 10.5 Tog , King Size

This is the best goose feather and down duvet you will ever have. I have purchased the 10.5 tog as I’m menopausal and get hot in the night. It’s a perfect duvet for us women of a certain age but warm enough when you need it. It’s got that perfect hotel crinkle noise which I love and as of yet no feather spillage. I’m sure some will come out at some point but I had a much more expensive one that lost feathers all the time. The quality of this at this price point is just amazing and you certainly won’t be disappointed. Just fluff and lay on top of your bed for 11 hours before use and your good to go. I’m so glad a went with the positive reviews on this and I’m blown away with the price for such a quality duvet. Sleep is so important as any age but especially when you’re over 50.

Lightweight. Beautifully "crunchy". Well made. 10.6 tog just right for me. Very warm. I guess for more "umph" go for 13 tog. PS reminds me of skiing holidays in Austria. Aaah,!

I like the choice of being able to use the lighter, summer, duvet on its own or in extreme circumstances add it to the winter duvet. My choice is a compromise in that to replace my existing duvet, like for like, was going to cost almost double the price. The duvet is well made, not as light as my original, but nevertheless provides comfort and warmth. The seller, was prompt, the item well packaged and as described and whilst I, perhaps unfairly, make comparisons with what I had, I do believe this to be value for money.

I love this duvet so much! Its amazing! For me its a bit heavy but thats cos there is nothing to me and im very tiny and suffer with back and shoulder pain. But this is the best duvet ive ever had. Ive now brought it in a 7.5 tog as a 10.5 tog is too warm for me since ive moved into a warmer house. Lol. I would highly recommend this duvet. Ive also noticed that yes the feathers do fall out as with all feather duvets but not as many as most duvets and im very rarely stabbed with the end of one. My previous duvet i was always pulling the feathers out that had poked through and under my bed was always covered in feathers and it looked as tho my duvet had split or my floor would be covered in feathers when i changed bedding sets. But with this one i dont tend to find that many feathers at all and i get the odd one or 2 float out when i change bedding sets. Its a very comfy duvet and i can never not have one of these now.

The item I have received is not as described. 40% goose down only, there is also a distinct smell coming from the duvet which will need to be laundered before use. Will keep as need for Xmas but I won't buy any for the other beds.

After opening this duvet my partner was a bit concerned it was very thin! we thought it would fluff up a little after a couple of hours however it didn’t increase in thickness too much more. After using it last night I honestly can’t complain! It’s so lightweight but equally warm! For me, who tends to get very hot in bed it manages to keep me nice and cool and my partner loves to be cosy and it keeps her cosy too! Great value for money, much cheaper than others I found on the internet at leading retailers and I’d guess it’s equally as good quality!

The surface is not pure cotton, and the down filling contains many hard feathers that poke through and feel uncomfortable on the skin. The whole duvet also has a strong duck smell that couldn’t be removed even after sun drying several times. After using it for two years, I decided to leave this review.
