Stylish, heat-retentive teapot ideal for loose leaf tea I bought this VonShef cast iron teapot primarily because it keeps temperature. After a few weeks of regular use, it’s proven functional. Design & build quality The teapot itself feels solid and well made, with a reassuring weight and a durable cast iron body. The enamel-lined interior is smooth and easy to clean, and the overall finish looks premium. One minor downside is the cord wrapping around the handle, which feels a little flimsy compared to the rest of the teapot. It hasn’t caused any functional issues, but it doesn’t feel as robust as the cast iron body and may wear over time with frequent use. Performance & use The biggest strength of this teapot is heat retention. Once warmed, it keeps tea hot for noticeably longer than ceramic or glass teapots. The included stainless steel infuser works well with most loose leaf teas and allows the leaves to expand properly, producing a good, full-bodied brew. Pouring is way smoother than any ceramic pots I've had before. Capacity & practicality Listed as 800ml (around 4 cups), I’d say I get for 2–3 generous mugs. Quite heavy compared to standard teapots I would say it is good value for money, since it is very well made.

I’m not really impressed with this. It’s smaller than I thought it would be but it’s really heavy sturdy and appears to be good quality. The heat retention isn’t that good but it pulls beautifully and looks nice.

The cast iron itself retains heat really well, so your tea stays hot for longer compared to standard ceramic or glass teapots. The handle is sturdy and insulated enough to pour safely once the teapot is hot. The lid fits snugly, which helps with heat retention.

Excellent tea pot. Makes two early morning mugs of tea. I put an ice cube in the cup when I take the tray up to bed so the first cup is not boiling hot. The hot cast iron (from sitting on the Aga overnight) keeps the tea hot enough for the second cup. My only criticism is that the tea leaf sieve could have a smaller mesh

Smaller than expected- says it makes 4 cups - it doesn't- it looks lovely though not too heavy and good quality - shame about the size

Just the right size for 2 mugs of tea. Heats quickly on our wood burning stove. Infuser makes putting tea/tea bag into the boiling water very easy. Lovely to look at as well so looks great on the top of the stove when it’s not in use.

Très satisfaite de mon achat, elle garde assez longtemps le thé au chaud. On peut servir au moin 4 tasses à thé.

El diseño y la robustez buena, el esparto en el asa es clave para no quemarse, pero no biene bien pintada y estaba con oxido desde antes de usarla por lo que realicé la devolución.

Sehr chice Kanne. Wurde schnell geliefert und entspricht der Beschreibung. Die Kanne ist innen NICHT emailiert und hält die Wärme sehr gut. Das bedeutet, die Kanne fängt innen an zu rosten, wenn man das Wasser drin stehen lässt. Zwischendurch steht sie ohne Deckel und Sieb, mit Wasser befüllt als dekorativer Luftbefeuchter auf dem Kamin.

Nonostante la tenga inmmersa ormai da giorni per parecchie ore in acqua, bicarbonato e aceto bianco, non sono riuscita a togliere tutta la ruggine.

objet aussi pratique que beau : la panier est solide et facile à nettoyer ainsi que la bouilloire. La taille suffit amplement à n os besoins (couple).
