I sent this board book edition to my 2-year-old granddaughter, and it’s quickly become a favourite in her growing collection. The illustrations are just as lovely as I remember, and they really draw little ones into the journey. What I really appreciate is the super-sturdy board book format. The pages are thick and durable, which makes it perfect for toddlers who are still learning how to turn pages gently. No tears, no bent corners — and it’s the right size for little hands to hold. One small downside is that the smaller size means the pictures aren’t as big or detailed as in the original picture book version. But for toddlers, this compact format is just right — it’s tough enough to survive daily reading and even a bit of chewing. 😉 This is one of those books that makes storytime feel like an adventure — and I love that we can read it “together” over video chat, too. Definitely recommend for babies, toddlers, and any young reader starting their library.

Amazing item. Bought used in good condition and it looks new. Good story and my daughter is currently obsessed with it. The cardboard pages make it much more durable and protects it from our 7m old.

Good book on adventure. But I would like a toddler book to have colorful engaging illustrations. Some pages of this book are black and white which I don't like. I think this book is suitable for age 3 and up.

It is cute following them on their adventure. My 3-year old liked the river part. He usually lose attention after they reach the cave. Hopefully he would appreciate it when he’s older.
