Great Book on Benchwork
I have been out of the hobby of model railroads for a many years. A lot of things have changed over the years. I just got back into the hobby. This book has some good ideas and techniques on benchwork. I am looking to using this book for my new layout.

Alright, feels dated.
I’m not sure if it feels dated because of the photography style or the obsession with free standing tables when a lot of people make shelf layouts nowadays. It feels like the shelf layout information is an afterthought at this point. I feel like some of these books could also focus on points like how to actually build on open benchwork and how to mount switch motors if you do in fact have the open benchwork and especially on foam. Good information, just lacking.

Excellent book to help guide you in building bench work for your train set up.

Great book, glad I spent the money to purchase it.
This is just what I needed. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. The book is written so anyone at any level experience can understand it and put the techniques to work right away. I inherited a large HO collection and just retired so I was looking for a book that would help me get started correctly on track. This is the one, photos are prefect and the instructions are written so they can be put into action.

I was planning on building my lay out on a 4 X 8 ft. sheet of plywood. He showed me some cool ways to put the track at different levels

Exhaustive coverage of bench work techniques
Excellent book on the subject, covers all the different techniques in great detail with abundant illustrations and great explanations. Excellent value.
