Will the rubber get sticky overtime?

I have had mine for a couple of months and so far they are fine. No sticky rubber...even though the dishwasher they are fine. The plastic cuts easy though. First time I used one the knife cut the plastic pretty easily. That's what I don't like as much. I know they all will have scratches and cuts eventually but these are softer than expected.

How big is the actual cutting area?

I measured, and the areas inside the blood gutters are: 12" x 9-3/4" 9-1/2" x 7-3/4" 8" x 6-1/2" On the reverse side there is no gutter so you get an additional 3/4" all around.

How well do they stay in place while cutting?

They actually stay in place very well the rubber around the handle and at the bottom of the cutting board prevent them from sliding at all.
