Works great on my Intech Rover. Easy to follow instructions, is best to drill small starter holes. Otherwise, I just screwed In directly.

I used these lift supports to hold up my custom arcade cabinet control panel. I initially tried higher rated gas struts, but those exerted too much pressure and only one would not allow the panel to stay close. This 18lb rating was just fine for my control panel which weighs around 30lbs (plywood, acrylic, and arcade controls). The metal band clips make it easy to pop off the mounting points by simply slipping a flathead screwdriver underneath, to make installation or swapping out the mounting points easy. They hold the lid up and slow the rate of closure, though they're not a "soft-close" type, maybe in a different setup the struts can be positioned well enough to allow for that.

The package arrived in a secure package. SECURELY PACKAGED All parts are contained in a ziploc-type bag. (All small parts are secured in a "bag in bag." Very nice.) EXTRA SCREWS & BRACKETS Really appreciated extra screws (5) and bracket (2 kinds). This is the only seller who offers this extra care and service. HIGH QUALITY Everything looks, fees and is of high quality. Nothing cheap about it at all. NO MANUAL Amazon's description says that the item comes with a manual. Not included. For that, 1 Star Minus. OVERALL Exceptionally satisfied.

This item was a replacement for a furniture strut and had matching information for size and load. Was a breeze to change and it works beautifully now.

This was mounted on a window seat that we store toys in for the grandkids. The lid is 3/4 ply would and should weigh about 28 lbs. I installed only 1 cylinder. The cylinder overall length is 7 inches retracted and 10.5 inches fully extended. The eye to eye spacing is 6 (152/4 mm) retracted and 9 5/8 inch (244.5 mm) fully extended. I like the concept however no instructions came with my set. There is a small diagram on the Amazon sales ad page that shows mounting these at Y= 90mm and X =280 mm center to center for a 90 degree opening. If you figure the hypotenuse of that it would require 294 mm cylinder length eye to eye hole but extended the cylinder is only 244.5 mm eye to eye, and this is ignoring the 24.5 mm offset to mount the fixed piece. I did mount mine with Y=90 mm X about 260 mm so the door isn't quite at 90 degrees when open but it does stay open. That's why I only used the 1 cylinder since the piston doesn't really do anything as you approach 20 degrees. The lid will still slam shut as it gets close to closed since the piston is then fully retracted and it is just rotating on the fixed mounts but not quite as hard as if you had nothing. So overall these only partially solved my problem, the lid will stay open however it still shuts to fast if you let it go when closing.

It stopped working. These kitchen doors are not very heavy. One of the sets is still working, however the 2nd set doesn't hold the door. It hasn't even been 6 months since they were installed!!! So disappointed.
