My second time buying because I thought my first one broke so I think they deserve a review. I’ve had my first one for approximately 4 months. It has functioned flawlessly with very clear sound until recently. It was an easy fix. You simply have to detach the acoustic tube from the speaker and blow it out. It works perfectly fine now. I would advise to replace the earbud piece with something that allows you to hear your surroundings better. They sell them here on Amazon. I would highly recommend this product. It is an outstanding value. Just remember to blow the acoustic tube out from time to time and keep the earpiece clean.

I work corrections, and due to some hearing loss from my time in the military, I can't hear radio traffic from my hand mic when doors are opening/closing or when we are pushing carts through the halls, despite it being right next to my ear. I got this in order to better hear my radio when there is competing noises, and it does the job just fine! No more preventable walking over my coworkers due to my inability to hear my radio during the busy parts of my shift, or missing traffic directed towards me! My supervisor complemented me on the drastic improvement on my radio communications because of this cheap little guy! It does seem to have a slight lag on transmissions when I am near the repeater, so sometimes a short transmission like "10-4" comes across as just the sound of a radio being keyed, or I miss the first second of a longer transmission, but once I am away from the repeater on the other side of the jail this is not an issue. The earpiece itself is clear, and clarity is dependent on what radio I have it plugged into, so a crappy radio is staticky, but with good radio it works just fine. For the price, it gets a 5/5!

Look, I'm always skeptical when purchasing items and whatnot especially reading low rated reviews, which is very discouraging. But the low rated reviews below are just people who don't know how to handle their products well. So far I had this earpiece for a week and it works like a charm. FYI: For the people who say the sound isn't too loud are probably the people who blasts their music at the highest volume, damaging their eardrums permanently. Please don't listen to loud music for extensive periods of time! Q: Can I use this for music? A: Yes but don't get so hyped up. First of all, it's possible to listen to music and other programs but its intent is too listen through voice or other vocal audio sources. Listening to music at a loud volume extensively may degrade the earpiece over time Q: How good is the audio quality? A: The price should give some of it away but again, it's a security/surveillance ear piece, it's suppose to be quiet and inconspicuous. Have you ever heard how a stethoscope sounds like in your ears? It's basically the same in this case; you can hear the sound when you rub your fingers against the wires and the audio sounds like it has extra bass but the earpiece knocks out any outside noise so that you can hear from the earpiece. Q: WYSIWYG? A: Yes, the product you see here in this picture is what you get. Of course my shipment was in a nice packaging envelope. Inside of that envelope was a plastic zip-lock bag containing the earpiece and a plastic cardboard that advertises the brand and specs of the earpiece. Q: Hassle? A: Yes, unfortunately, for this particular earpiece, you need to take the time to properly set up the wiring inconspicuously. If installed properly, the only thing that should be visible is the clear tubing that connects to your ear. Another thing that I was disappointed is that the earpiece is design only to be in your left ear but you can use the right ear too. However, you will not be able to loop the tubing around the ear. The black coiled-up wires that connects to the device can also be a hassle. I would've liked it if they didn't coiled-up the black wire. Please, don't let this discourage you, it's still comfortable! Q: So what is that big bulge in the middle and the clear plastic tubing? A: This receiver comes with a plastic clear tubing, which has no wires or anything inside, that can be moved, manipulated depending on the head movement. It feels comfortable if you installed your earpiece correctly. I'm no audio expert so I may be wrong but the big bulge in the middle is where the clear tubing converts into the black wire. It also includes a clipping so you can clip it to your clothes. Conclusion: Despite some hassle, low-bass sound, coiled wiring, I think this earpiece does the job, especially for the unbeatable price! I would recommend anyone to purchase this product! (Btw, this earpiece is kinda stylish, looking like a sexy security guard or secret agent man XD)

I'm a Border Patrol Agent work at a checkpoint and out in the brush depends on the assignment of the day. I have purchased the one that has the mic and earpiece and connects the radio directly. the listening part worked great but the mic came out muffled especially after having it for awhile not to mention trying to conceal the wires under the shirt, just a little more hassle when dressing up. I reconnected my shoulder mic and bought this which works outstanding! The only thing i did was switch to an ear mold because the one that comes with starts hurting a little after time. With the ear mold is way more comfortable and the sound quality to me seems to be way better as well! I use my mic with a military dog tag ball chain necklace since there are times when i have to run after someone out in the brush the mic stays on and its more comfortable than having your shirt being pulled down all day from the shoulder. Ever since buying this I have not have a problem communicating clearly with others and I hear everything that comes out on the radio. if running checks on a subject they don't get to hear if they have a warrant and doesn't give them time to think about doing anything which is a huge safety concern i had before.

I will tell you this headset works GREAT. I was a bit reluctant to buy this due to the price but it has worked out much better than expected. I have used this now every day for almost a year, working 4 days a week for 10 hours a day without any problems. This actually my second one, I bought as a backup. I will say that the last one I got came with two ear pieces, one round and one earmould, which this does not. This only comes with a round earpiece. I do not guarantee a five-star rating. I issue stars based on my own personal experience and opinions, in no way will I overrate something and have had given several one-star ratings to items I felt deserve it. I too rely on reviews, so all my reviews are honest and fair. This is missing parts (tube and earpieces) and the one that doesn’t have a brand sticker on it has a tube connected to it that appears to be old and used. Absolutely disgusting.

I started working security recently and so an earpiece is a must. I bought this one and have used it for the past month. It's pretty good I haven't had any problem with it, it works just as expected. Though I have sensitive ears and having the plastic part sit in my ear for hours is quiet uncomfortable. Also the part that goes around my ear often falls off. But these things happen with other earpieces too, I'm just saying. There are two clips on the earpiece. The one that connects the transparent part with the black cord is pretty big and when you clip it on the back of your shirt it scratches the back of your neck. You have to find the perfect position which can be pretty annoying.

Wish they were eligible for Prime, but hubby says they fit much better than their standard issue ones at work and quality seems great.

Have used it once so still getting used to it, could do with something to hold it in position more securely (earpiece that is) some of my colleagues use sticking plaster to keep in position so they must experience the same difficulty.
