Great product, great price. Very happy with my bikes up in the air, freeing up floor space yet easily accessible!

I have another one of these hoists of a different brand. This one has a cheaper rope and the rope seems to come off the pulley wheels frequently. It does not operate as smoothly either. The hooks on this are also not bent at a sharp enough angle, my bike slips off sometimes when I am raising it.

Spend a couple of bucks more and buy a lift other than this one. The hardware is fine. The problem is the so-called rope included with the kit. It's really not a rope but more of a thin braid. The rope, due to its thinness, ewon't catch on the stop when the bike is lifted. I had to go out and buy thicker rope. Would not recommend this product unless the manufacturer changes the rope in the kit to one that is a little more substantial. I have other lift kits that came with a beefier rope and they work just fine. The kit, with the current rope, is unsafe to use since the stop won't catch and the bike can drop. The attached photo shows the thin braid included in the kit.

I love this hoist! It works like a champ.

It was as expected. The unit would be better and easier to use with a larger rope.
