THIS DOES WORK FOR PS2 SLIM
This DOES WORK FOR PS2 slim. I had a slim in storage that alcohol and Q-Tips would only get it to start loading, but then fail. I had just used this disc on my PS3 fat and it worked PERFECTLY, thank God because PS3 fat is no joke to deal with. Anyways, I have several PS2 slim replacement lasers, so I figured I'd try this disc first to avoid having to deal with the laser swap...no big task at all, but still more effort than this disc, and if it ruined the laser, who cares? It worked EXACTLY as with the PS3 fat...all features...all audio/visual test and adjusting procedures...visual background and audio during cleaning and testing were exactly the same as the PS3 fat including all menu options. The PS2 slim loads every game quickly and no audio.visual lag on any games, even heavily modded San Andreas. NOTE: I did have to position the PS2 slim laser about mid-rail because it refused to see the disc, even with the disc loaded switch fully engaged. It took 10 resets before I figured out to move the laser myself. It only took that one time, not several attempts to place it right, one time and perfect running for a year so far.

Do not buy this product
When I got this dvd lens cleaner in the mail I was so excited, thinking that this product would fix my blu-ray lens problem. But it did not work at all, and I have to tell you that any time you can pause, rewind and fast forward a dvd cleaning cycle it's not real. The actual cleaning cycle is not really a cleaning cycle, but it's a recording of a cleaning cycle, and if you buy this then you'll see what i'm talking about. I ran this so called cleaning cycle at least 10 times prior to finding out about the fake cleaning cycle. I tried playing a blu-ray disk but nothing happened. I recently bought dead or alive 5 and when I got home and tried to play I would get serious game lag and freezing and the game was brand new out of the box. This product is a scam on a DVD disk please do not buy this piece of crap, please don't get scammed like I did.If you're having problems with disk read errors, system freezing do to blu-ray lens etc. then I suggest you purchase the blu-ray lens replacement part (Slim Laser Lens Replacement KES-450A KEM-450AAA with Deck for Sony Playstation 3) and go on youtube.com and search PS3 lens repair full tutorial by gameconsolrepair. He shows detailed instructions on everything you need to know about this repair process. Please note that the replacement part mentioned in this review is for the PS3 slim models only. Check the model number on the back of your system.

Digital Innovations 4190400 Clean Dr. Laser Lens Cleaner for PS3
This is a fairly inexpensive product. It seems to work alright for most products (even non-PS3 devices). The menu option is a little tedious (have to watch training menus, instead of just being able to run the tests multiple times).

Works perfectly. Even on a 4+ year 40 GB PS3!
I bought my PS3 over 4 years ago. A 40GB model that I've never once cleaned, not realizing that that's something that needed to be done. Well, a few weeks ago, my PS3 was having trouble reading games, but not anything else. And the discs rotated while in the Playstation, so I knew it wasn't a laser issue. And then it stopped reading the games altogether. So, we ordered a lens cleaner with "wind technology" and that did not work at all. Not even after 10 times of running it. My dad and I ended up taking some of the Playstation apart and cleaning it that way, but we couldn't get to the lens to clean it and we didn't want to risk breaking it. So, I then ordered this product with the brushes and stuff. After about 10-15 times running it through, my system reads the games with no problem, as if it were brand new! It took so many times running it through its cleaning process because of 4+ years of smoke(from my dad), dust, and whatever else could get in there that just built up until I could no longer play games. I will be cleaning my PS3 monthly with this product(although after awhile you'll need to get a new one). My dad doesn't smoke anymore, so that should help. I recommend not smoking around yours or anyone elses Playstation. I absolutely recommend this product. You need to get this. You will NOT be disappointed.

Did the Job
Prior to purchase, the PS3 box made worrisome rattling sounds and took increasingly longer periods to load games. We've been down this road before with early boxes that gave out and required expensive fixes. Trying to be proactive, and having used canned air to blow out all possible dust, etc. to no avail, we tried Clean Dr. It absolutely did the trick. Not only did the rattling sounds disappear, games load incredibly faster and (what we didn't realize) the video is better and crisper. There's no doubt that there was a slow degradation in many aspects of the game experience (as described) that could only be seen with a good cleaning. I read, with some concern, some of the negative ratings. While I can't explain what underlying problems may be at the core of their less-than-expected results with this product, this really worked for us. It was a cheap fix and made us a believer in keeping the PS3 clean on a more regular schedule. In this case, I think we were spared a very costly bill - or trashing the box altogether - down the road!

Mostly Useful
I didn't think this was going to work at all. I had issues with BluRays skipping when they had no visible scratches. It was starting to drive me nuts, it would happen with multiple discs. I was starting to think BR discs were unreliable, but then I decided to try this and to my surprise, it worked! Just insert the disc, deal with the really insanely annoying video that plays until you get to the clean disc menu, then click the menu button to start the process. It manages to talk more while doing this process. I was impressed it had anything more to tell me. LIstening to this disc is like being stuck on the worst date of your life. If only a mute button existed for those situations too. Thankfully, my receiver does have a mute button, so I indulged in the silence, ignoring the discs back patting of how awesome it is. After it's done, it offers to help you configure your surround sound, where I promptly (r)eject it and put it back in it's case. I've had to run this twice now, it was about 2 months between each. I suspect I will end up using it again. I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the annoyingly long start up video.

bluray player not reading games properly??
i got this for my brother because his ps3 dosent read games or bluray movie properly it takes more than 5 times to get it to work. so i thought the eye for the bluray player was dirty. i ran this disc about 3 times and still useless didnt help. so if this dosent fix your problem. its most likely ur bluray player is dead or its dieing.

well...
The only reason i got this was to see if it would fix my ps3's issue of reading blue ray (basically blue ray dvd's and ps3 games). My ps3 was unable to read the disc so wasn't even able to use this product at all when i put it in.Once i put in the disc the screen went black and nothing happened after that. I wasn't expecting this to work from the beginning but i had to try everything before turning it over to sony. This product did come in earlier than expected i was surprised and the box was a little cracked on bottom right corner but the cd was in good condition. If you know for a fact that the issue is your blue ray don't even waste your time and money on this product it won't work.

This product does exactly what it's expected to do. Clean a laser lens.
This is actually a replacement item. I've been using a version of CleanDr Laser Lens Cleaner for the better part of the last 8 to 9 months to clean the lens of my PS3 at least once a month or so. The original was actually purchased from PC World, however I almost sent it back on the day that it arrived as the disk was very badly scratched. Still it loaded and worked, so I did not bother sending it back. Last Sunday it failed to load, simply going for a prolonged spin in the drive. My first thought was to order a replacement copy from PC World, however on the spur of the moment I did a search of the Amazon website, only to discover that I would be saving myself a few pounds by ordering it through Amazon. Furthermore it arrived on the day after it was ordered and the disk has no sign of any kind of blemish on it, let alone any kind of scratch. In fact I've just finished a quick clean of the lens of my PS3. An operation that's done and dusted in less time than it would take most people to read this review. It should also be noted that image and sound calibration tools are also provided. Not that I have ever bothered with either, but some people might find them useful. As a footnote, I'm a very fussy individual when it comes to storage boxes and indeed when it comes to handling disks themselves. The DVD storage box provided has an unacceptable and very stiff centre release button. It's a good thing that I have a few spare Amaray storage boxes to hand. The unacceptable box is going to end up in the blue wheelie bin where it belongs joining two others thrown away recently (two DVD film titles provided through Amazon), that also had unacceptable release buttons.

Easy to use, effective cleaner
Of the two disk cleaners I got from Amazon, this one seems to be the better one. It has more brushes and their sort of spiral configuration and "cyclonic" action seem to work.

The CleanDr Lens Cleaner Solved my Dusty PS3 Superslim lens issues and may solve yours too.
The PS3 Super slim is, with all its miraculous processing power, has one a major concern-it is a dust magnet. Common opinion suggests this is attributed to the compact design (seemingly implying the existence or development of partial vacuums therein). Mine suffered a dust attack after I left it in the open for about two weeks. When I came back from my short vacation, observed behaviour included freezing and ultimatimately failure to recognize and read blu ray discs! At this point, it was a choice between sending it back to Sony (and risk a swap) or the good CleanDr alternative. I chose the latter. Upon arrival, I ran this disc once and my PS3 was up and running! I could play Darksiders (the victim of the freeze). I did have to do another run the following day for an extra clean effect and I haven't done another one in close to a month now. Point is, if the problem with your troubled console is dust, the CleanDr Lens Cleaner is a very viable solution.

Not sure if it really works or my PS3 was overdue for it...
My PS3 was not clean for Years, so not sure if few times running this CD make a massive difference. Still struggle to run games. Still had to try it...
