Tolerate ignorance? Really? So not necessary. This laugh-out-loud dictionary is the perfect lesson in snarkiness. Why suffer the tiny minds of the plebian rabble with whom you come in daily contact, reasons James Napoli, executive vice president of the National Sarcasm Society. So, with The Official Dictionary of Sarcasm , he provides an A-Z guide to turn to whenever you need to set someone straight. From advertisements to e-mail, materialism to remote controls, there's a witty answer for every situation. “You have been waiting patiently for a dictionary like this to come along. And now it is here,” recognizes Napoli. “Not that you give a crap.” Review: Buy several copies as everyone else will want your copy! - A great cup of coffee book. You don't have to worry about losing your place and will definitively finish your beverage with a smile if not an outright laugh. Have shown it to many people, all of whom want to borrow it when I finish with it. Makes a great conversation starter as everyone is curious once they see the title. Review: Awesome, hilarious book!! - If you're a reader with a great sense of humor, you'll LOVE this one. Funniest book I've found in a long time!! He takes logophilia to a whole new level and puts a hilarious spin on some of the things we've thought about ourselves. It's meant to be enjoyed by those of us who are able to see the funny side of things and who don't take life so seriously that we miss out on a lot of laughs. I would definitely recommend this book!!

The Official Dictionary of Sarcasm - Hardcover 2014 by James Napoli
For the money I paid, $0.01 plus shipping of about 4$ I can't complain about the price. The seller got to rid themselves of the book and I'm sure they were happy to get four O one for it. It is sometimes funny, but mostly the value is for having it around to just pick up and read a few of the sarcastic short paragraphs describing something. I do like sarcasm and this book has enough, I probably shouldn't read more than a few at a time. I like Sarcasm, I'm not sick. It's OK.

Super funny and adorable. I got this for my father in law who is a self admitted jerk. He thought it was really funny gift which is saying a lot since he's hard to buy for. I looked through it and it made me laugh. It's formatted like a realy dictonary which makes it even funnier since you almost want to take it seriously. If you have someone who's hard to buy for, this makes a good gift.

Has its moments, but . . .
Some of the entries are really funny, some are mildly amusing, and some fall kind of flat. Overall, the book was too tedious for me to read it all the way through, cover to cover, and I’m not sure why. Maybe because when something is called a dictionary, and is laid out as a dictionary, boredom just automatically sets in because you’re confronted with so many unrelated entries to slog through, letter by letter. I think it would have been a better read if it were theme-oriented but then the writer would have had to change the title because it would have no longer been a dictionary. Oh well. =)

Not bad for the price.
I bought this as a gift for Christmas. Unfortunately because it is a Christmas gift I was unable to read so I won't be able to give a full review. It arrived in good condition and the book seemed well made. The pages seemed to be held in place fine and there was no cracking of the spine. Does this book cover all of sarcasm? Probably not, but what I saw of it seemed like an amusing read. Not bad for the price.

Great for a teenager
I got this for my son for Christmas. He really enjoyed it and so did I. Great add on gift or stocking stuffer for someone whose native language is sarcasm.

拾い読みして楽しい辞典
英語のsarcasm(皮肉・風刺)辞典である。

Brill!
So good I sent a copy over to a friend in Germany. He may be German but he has an English sense of humour. I use it whenever the occasion arises. I reccomend it. Pete. Hull
