Realistic and Effective Training Tool
This dummy is built really well and has a very realistic look and feel that makes training sessions much more effective. The weight is just right for throwing long distances, and it holds up great even after repeated use. My retriever took to it immediately and it’s been a great way to simulate real hunting scenarios. The material is durable, easy to clean, and doesn’t tear up easily even with a strong-mouthed dog. It’s an excellent tool for anyone serious about training their dog for waterfowl retrieval. Highly recommend for durability, realism, and effectiveness in the field.

Great tool to teach proper retrieves
There are many reviews that recommend the effectiveness of this dummy as a training tool. I really like that the geometry of the body, head, and throwing handle teaches the pup how to pick up a bird. We mostly train with bumpers, and our golden pup picks them up a lot of different ways (like a cigar, for one) and tends to play around with the throwing line on the retrieve. She only comfortably picks these dummies up by the body. These are well balanced and easy to throw!

Great training tool
We have used it heavily in training the Lab pup. The balance of the dummy mimics a live duck. It throws well into the water. After 2 months of use it still floats but the rope slipped and had to be glued. It is possible with such heavy use it was not possible to hold up. I still think for the price the training dummy was worth every penny. I have ordered a new one. Our Lab loves it.

Not the quality as in the past
I have bought several of these for my lab and they have lasted for months. Recently I purchased this one and it was not the quality. He tore the head off in 3 days. Will not purchase again.

It's okay!
This dummy was alright, it was made very cheap which made it a little hard to use. I did end up returning it.

Good training decoy
Awesome training tool! Looks realistic, and the dogs took to it right away. It’s held up well after multiple retrieves and some rough play.
