Professional Sound at an Affordable Price – Perfect for Podcasters and Creators!
I bought the Shure MV7X for my home studio setup, and it has exceeded all expectations. The sound quality is absolutely top-tier—clear, warm, and dynamic. It captures vocals beautifully, making it ideal for podcasting, voiceovers, and streaming. The build is solid and professional, with an all-metal construction that feels durable and premium. Setup was straightforward with my XLR interface, and I was up and recording in minutes. I especially appreciate Shure’s voice isolation technology—it does a fantastic job of minimizing background noise, even in a less-than-perfect acoustic environment.Compared to more expensive mics like the SM7B, the MV7X holds its own impressively, especially considering the price point. It’s a great value for anyone looking to upgrade their audio without breaking the bank. One thing to note: it doesn’t come with an XLR cable, so make sure to grab one separately. But once connected, it delivers professional-grade audio that rivals mics twice the cost.Highly recommended for anyone serious about their sound! Size is great, looks amazing, and functioned perfectly right out of the box it just works well.

Great Product!
Wonderful quality and have had it for years. I would recommend it to friends as well. It was easy to set up and I use it with my sound board. The volume of output is great and sounds great on the other end.

Lower price, looks good on camera
This is a beautiful substitute for the Shure SM7B at half the price. It does not require a Cloudlifter. If you have an audio mixer that takes XLR in and has a USB or USB-c out then you can likely hook up to your computer or directly in to your camera. Depends on how you record and edit.

Podcasters: needs third party shock mounts and pop filters - but it's a great mic.
Tried a bunch of different mic set ups...(procaster, yeti, audio technica, sony) and ultimately this was the best.My cohost and I record in a small room with lots of neighborhood noise (enormous and purposefully loud pick up trucks/tiny early 90s hondas), and while we use foam, noise curtains, and even some interior storm windows to reduce the idiot noise pollution - we still get a ton of low bleed. My cohost also make SO MANY lip smacking sounds due to Invisalign. After trying different solutions, it was clear that our old mics (audio technica) were not cutting it anymore. The old mics were fine - but after passes in iZotope, and DAYS of editing, we would sound good - but the amount of work needed to get there was back breaking. The Shure mics just have a more whole sound if that makes any sense. The mouth noises are more easily eliminated with iZotope, and it doesn't seem to degrade the audio like it could with previous mics, it's serious saved me days of manual editing work. I equalize the audio much less, finding that our natural voices just sound much better, and just overall the recordings are so much easier to edit.As far as those low rumbles... these are the hardest noises to deal with... but I do find that these mic are slightly better at blocking those out. I did, also try the USB version of this model with the different vocal options...and found really no difference in low rumble noise cancelation. So I returned and stuck with the XLR version and save 200 in the process.CONS:Picks up a lot of desk noise - solved by using a table stand, on a silicone hot plate mat, and a shock mount. Arm mounts did not help here as they seemed to pick up more noise and were also harder to position. You need to stay pretty close to these mics and arm mounts allow for gestural movements when talking...which naturally lead to a lot of inconsistent audio. Also another reason not to use an arm mount with these - they are very prone to plosives. This was solved by using BOTH a slightly thicker pop sock along with the stedman pro pop shield...very few plosives sneak by now. You can't really use the metal pop shield with an arm mount... the directional mesh works best with table mounts.

Great for the price.
For the price these are actually some really good microphones. If you do not have a large budget for creating a podcast. I highly recommend these microphones. They get the job done with satifactory quality for the listener.

Excellent sound. Will buy another.
Excellent quality sound. I am running the XLR connected version and it is easy to install on the boom arm, easy to connect, and the durability seems to be second to none. I will buy another one when I start doing onsite podcasting for sure. The background noise suppression is excellent.

Sounds great on PS5 and PC
I’ve used a bunch of different mics from Hypercast to Blue Yeti to Audio Technica. Honestly, they’ve all been great but they were all condenser so external noise was always present when party chatting. When I needed a new mic I decide on this dynamic Shure mic. They’re pretty much the most popular mics right? And for good reason. I’m no pro so didn’t go all out with the SM7B and this seemed liked a good middle ground and it’s been great.Great construction quality and simple design with a nice weight to it. It’s not so sensitive that it captures background noise loudly and having the mic up close captures your voice perfectly. Nice and crisp with good clarity that just has a different sound to other mics.I’ve been using it on my PS5 connected via Elgato Wave XLR and works without issues. Also have it connected to my PC via Minifuse 2 audio interface with cloudlifter and no issues there either. Definitely recommended if you want want a high quality mic without breaking the bank too much.
