Black Elderberry

I am a chronic sufferer of bacterial sinus infection. Ask me why, and I can give you some long winded explanation about a slightly deviated septum and sinus design, and a slew of other stuff that I've read and heard from my doctor. Bottom line, both you and I don't care the reasoning, but rather, preventative care. I can tell you that these Elderberry capsules help. If I get "that feeling" like a sinus infection is impending, I'll start popping two of these twice a day. 9 times out of 10, I can stave off the infection from grabbing a foothold in my sinuses long enough to let my immune system kick it completely out (without antibiotics and/or steroids). Does it help get rid of a sinus infection already in place?: inconclusive from my experience. Once I have a sinus infection, it takes about the same amount of time to get rid of it whether or not I'm taking it. Maybe I get rid of it a day soon, but statistically that's probably considered to be "noise in the data". Does it work for flu and other viral colds? I can't tell you that. I know that bacterial sinus infections can be precipitated by viral infections, but excluding bacterial sinus infection, I don't get sick. I've had the flu maybe twice in the last 20 years. Bottom line I have no experience with regard to using this to fight flu. Can't hurt to try though (I don't think you can OD on berries easily, could be wrong though). Does it have any other benefits? I don't know, maybe. Again I can only speak from experience. I take them, it staves off a sinus infection. I get that there are a lot of other beneficial claims about elderberry, but I have personally never noticed/experienced them. Is this just another homeopathic snake oil? No. While I agree that there are a lot of homeopathic "remedies" out there that don't work and are probably just a placebo effect, there are also ones out there that work. Heck, I've experienced allergic reactions to homeopathic remedies that landed me in worse trouble than before. Elderberry is a homeopathic remedy that works for me. Will it work for you? Maybe, maybe not, every body is different, and it could be that my body utilizes it due to a deficiency of something that elderberry has. Summary (tl;dr): Get it and try the bottle once. You can take it all the time, but I find it sufficient to take them when I feel a sinus infection coming on (I mean, who *wants* to take a bunch of pills at breakfast). Berry form is probably preferable, but the capsules are convenient and store for long periods of time without getting mildew-y. The price is right, it staves off sinus infections, and probably works for staving off other colds as well. Can't hurt to find out if your body responds to it.

I’ve been using this elderberry supplement for a few weeks now, and I’m already seeing amazing results! It’s a natural powerhouse that’s helped boost my immune system and keep me feeling strong and energized. The capsules are easy to take and have no aftertaste, which is always a bonus.

Easy to swallow, and I have trouble swallowing big pills. Slides down your throat easily, I have confidence in saying that I believe this helped me get over my cold quickly. At one point, I could not swallow well at all, and I opened up the capsule and I ate it with a spoon and it did not taste bad.

Elderberry has had no negative side effects for me. I have occasionally gotten a headache after taking, but I cannot say that it was caused by this supplement as I am suffering from allergies as well. I take this on occasion, and this is my first time. It is said to prevent or shorten colds during the winter season; I ordered in February and take it on occasion as a preventative. I have hopes that it works, but I really cannot attest to it at this time because I have not gotten sick recently; then again, maybe Elderberry is why! It can't hurt! Be sure if you are searching brands that you do not get a raw version of the flower, leaves, tree, etc. as it is poisonous to humans! Research your unfamiliar supplements and flowers/fruits before buying and know what you are getting; as many have a toxic effect if ingested if not cooked or processed correctly.

WORKED WELL

Sometimes these can be a bit challenging to find in my local pharmacy. I like the price and the quality. As a senior citizen, I like to give my immune system a boost from time to time. I'm not convinced of the benefits, but I figure I can't go wrong by trying these.

This is the only supplement that I find myself buying consistently. It’s a must have in my cold and flu fighting arsenal. Although they are large I do prefer the capsules over the syrups and gummies since those products often contain added sugar. When others around me in the office start to fall sick during flu season I will start taking these daily as a preventative measure. Other times I will just take them as soon as I feel cold symptoms come on, you know when you get that little itch in your throat. This product definitely helps reduce the symptoms and shortens the amount of time I’m sick. If I take them on an empty stomach I do get stomach upset, but taking them with a small snack helps.

Love, love, love this supplement! The quality is great and this brand always keeps their supplements clean. There is no taste and they are easy to swallow. I take these daily and they have helped protect myself from getting sick. Especially, during the colder months! Highly recommend!

Te go tiempo tomandolos. Muy bien Revomendables

Great for boosting immunity especially during this pandemic.

It does seem to give some protection against common cold(immunity is a very broad term) if you are exposed to other persons, family members who have common cold infection. This is my opinion, other users may comment on my assessment

The material inside elderberry capsule (transparent) has been of under quality. It got spoiled on receipt itself. Be careful, if there is no improvement or u fall sick, it means it's spoilt. Color change drastic.
