Fun, easy to use!
Just got these today. I have never used spikes ever before. They are so easy to use that it took me less than 2 minutes to figure out how to throw them, compare this to throwing knives, which my first day throwing I spent over a half an hour before I got my first stick. These are held completely differently than knives, and are a fun, easy alternative. For me, they are easier to stick, but are less accurate than knives. I don't know if this is a general rule, or just me. BUT, the tips do get bent really easily. My throws are almost always angled down slightly, and this bends the tips out. Annoying, but nothing needle nose pliers can't fix. Basically, these are inexpensive, and fun! They are also much safer to use than throwing knives, if safety is a concern at all.

Very nice bo shuriken
These ninja spikes are very nice. It is hard to tell from the picture that they are black. The tassels are very annoying, but they are useful to see in the grass: you will lose them otherwise. The spikes came on time, even earlier than amazon's estimate (They do seem to have been shipped from nearby though). The wrist sheath is pretty uncomfortable to use without long sleeves, but it holds the bo shuriken nicely. It's made out of a tough material, on the box it says, "Heavy Black Webbing Band." They are very well balanced, and I was able to stick them into a target made of 4 thick pieces of cardboard as soon as I opened the box, and I have never touched a ninja spike in my life. Therefore, I think this is a great product for beginners, and is highly recommended. They are about 6 inches, although two seem to be a tiny bit longer than the rest. I honestly have no complaints about this product. Enjoy.

Ideal for practice; use real throwers for harder targets.
Good balance and flight, poor durability. Tips bend on 1mm packing paper. But stuck true into a basswood board, while having a bent tip. The feel is slick, ideally sharp, but the metal should be harder than this, it flattens on the softest of targets. It's design is good, but if you want practice beyond basics, i suggest finding a better product.

Very sturdy
I bought these about a month ago and they have still lasted until now. Considering I use them to throw a decent amount of time and that they sometimes hit the ground instead of my target, they are considerably durable and sturdy. Definitely worth it for the price.

it sucks
this thing is horrible. it doesn't always stick. after playing for 3 minutes, around 3 throw on each spikes. everyone of them got bend by the tips. hopefully the throwing star i bought are better.

Good Quality Throwing Spikes - Recommended
This set of "Throwing Spikes" is reasonably good quality for the price. We have recently added a throwing area in our home martial arts gym (my son and I take it together) and it adds a good bit fun and competition to our workouts. After trying Ninja Throwers Pro Stars set of 4 with Carry Case and 3 Pieces Black Spider Throwing Knife Set 6" Overall Length , these "spikes" seemed like the next logical progression. Here are my observations: Pros - + Good Weight; hefty enough to stick in pine from 10' - 12' + Red Tassel; makes it easy find on those "rare" occasions we miss our target Cons - - Blunts Easily; we keep a file on hand to sharpen as needed Misc - * Includes Wrist Sheath; not great quality, but functional to hold the spikes It is surprising how quickly we learned to get these sticking in our targets with a fair degree of accuracy. Recommended! CFH
