Master Works"Pioneer Package" 16-15 Hammer Dulcimer (Natural)

I am new to the hammered dulcimer, but not to stringed instruments and music theory, etc. I am not a professional musician however, though I do small gigs from time to time. I just received my new hammered dulcimer yesterday and was so surprised to get a handwritten note about it being "upgraded" to a Sapelli 16/15 Pioneer....and that was great!!! It indeed has a beautiful sound...I sat for a couple hours playing scales...a new experience given how different the bridges function...and loved the sound it makes....sounds very professional quality to me, though I'm not an expert on that aspect. Just very pleased I chose this instrument. It is large, though I knew it would be...just larger once it got into my apartment...but that won't be an issue forever I am sure! Love the quality, look, and sound at this very early stage, but obviously like it enough to want to immediately write a review!

I’ve wanted a hammered dulcimer for years. I have always loved the way they sound and have debated buying on forever. I decided to purchase this one after reviewing many dulcimers and I couldn’t be happier.It came in tune, was easy to learn, and sounds gorgeous. Great deal when you consider the tuner, hammers, stand, and case. Highly recommend.

I have researched hammered dulcimers for some time and saw this one from Masterworks. I received it quickly and the workmanship is stunning! I have dreamt of owning a hammered dulcimer for over 20 years. I decided I would treat myself to one this year. I couldn’t be happier or more impressed with my choosing Master Works. The craftsmanship of the instrument is absolutely beautiful and you can tell it was made with lots of love and attention to detail. I was pleasantly surprised to have it come with a case, a handmade stand, CD by the master craftsman, a tuning instrument AND an electronic tuner. The intonation on the instrument is gorgeous. Great sound! Beautiful instrument! Not only does this instrument look gorgeous, it sounds professional. I researched HD's before choosing this one and I couldn't be happier. It came earlier than expected and was in tune when it arrived. It came with everything needed to begin playing. I love, love, LOVE my new instrument!

HIGHLY IMPRESSED with this dulcimer. I am brand new to dulcimers, and I am very glad I went with this specific one. The quality of this instrument is outstanding. The tone is incredible as well. I feel like this is the best choice I could have gone with. My dulcimer arrived in the mail early, in perfect condition and in tune. Even received a hand written note and 2 CDs! I tried dulcimers from several vendors at a recent fiddle camp, then ordered this one. I'm a beginner on dulcimer, but I think this instrument can stand its ground with any of the others I played. It's the type of instrument you want to make a centerpiece of a room. The sound is great (and it arrived n tune!), and it's just so pretty. Even the stand is a work of art. When an instrument is as cool as this one, it's easy to sit down every day to practice.
