great wing nuts, no issues and will buy again

I was hanging a light recently and didn't have the right color/size connector, so when I saw these it was a no-brainer. This size covers most types of DC and AC wiring I do, from 22-12 gauge. My son is a union electrician and he recommended these Ideal nuts over others because he uses the next larger size regularly. He also told me a great way (see photo) to more easily twist these nuts... a socket! This size Ideal nut fits perfectly into a 12mm metric socket. They also fit into a 1/2" socket, but 12mm is a more snug fit. The standard 12mm socket worked, but the deep well 12mm was perfect, as the nut sort-of clicks into it and stays in place. I found a spare 12mm 1/4" drive deep socket and bought a 1/4" socket to 1/4" hex drive adapter (Dewalt DW2541) for a couple bucks. Now when I need to screw on wire nuts, I simply put the end of the hex drive socket into my hex screwdriver (or drill). Safety Note: Obviously, turn off the power first and use a plastic handled screwdriver to insulate yourself from the metal socket and driver shaft just in case. This isn't an issue with the Klein hex driver I use. These are great quality, super versatile wire nuts!!

Perfect for a range of wires

Nice and high quality. Fits in tight spaces and easy to screw on with wings but aren’t too large that it gets in the way.

These are a go to for our shop of electricians. This was a great price, but I was disappointed to not be able to order the smaller wire nuts in a larger container quantity. We go through these very fast and these small containers don’t last long. These twist on well every time, but always pre-twist wires. The protector sleeve is a great feature.

Just carry these instead of multiple sizes

I can't stress more enough how good is these wire nuts. The best I have been ever used in my career. I am an electrician and I use those daily, but this kind is absolutely one of the best 👌 highly recommended
