This stuff provides INCREDIBLE all-day coverage from the sun in the water. Especially great for your face. Know what you're buying: like traditional zinc oxide (the white stuff lifeguards put on their noses) this is a physical, not a chemical sunscreen, meaning it does not rub in and looks like white paint. Pros: -Lasts all day until you remove it. No re-applications needed. Complete coverage unless smeared. -Actually waterproof: still stays on even if you get blasted by waves all day -Doesn't sting your eyes. At all. I've gotten chunks in my eyes by accident, and nothing happened. -Smells good. Organically made. -Tube lasts a while: one of these tubes is good for 12+ uses. Basically just a few cents per day to completely avoid getting burned -Makes great Halloween makeup -You can smear it thinner if you want to get some sun -Doesn't ruin clothing or take the paint off plastic, unlike many sunscreens Cons: -You will look like a mime. A zombie mime. -Will smear with contact with fabric, a hard surface, or if scratched. -Difficult to remove unless you use the pro tip... PRO TIP: Use baby wipes to remove from skin. It works well, it’s hard to rub in, but I’m OK with that. You get that white sheen all over your face. From reading the ingredients it has a lot of natural ingredients versus all that crap that comes with namebrand stuff. The white sheen protects my face a little bit better so I don’t mind. It’s also good in the water. But you do have to reapply every four hours it seems like.

I have only used this a couple of times on my son, but so far it has seemed to be effective. I read several reviews prior to purchase and felt confident this would be a good chemical free sunscreen for my son to wear at school. My only issue and reason for 4 stars is the size of this product. It is about the length of my middle finger and width of two fingers. It goes on easy and time will tell how long it lasts. So as of now, I recommend this product. I just wish it was a little larger for the price. I do understand that by taking the chemical-free, eco-friendly route, you end up paying more regardless of what the product is. We are going to Florida in 1.5 weeks and will really be able to put this to the test then. I will have back-up in case.

This sunblock dos the job, smells great, and you never have to touch it to apply it (apllies like roll on deodorant). it lasts all day easily. it's not pleasant if you get it in your eyes, but what sunscreen is? it's water resistance is so good it was almost impossible to get off in thw shower, UNTIL I read the instructions on their website and learned you simply have to use an "oil based soap" to remove it, and indeed when you do it comes right off. Since we use Dr Bronners Lavender soap in the shower (an olive and other healthy oils soap), with a washcloth it takes this sunblock off easily (our soap: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000HK1ON0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_S9YPGR0QJAWG0NKD6JRA) I see why the America's Cup US Sailing Team uses this sunblock. I noticed their faces, necks and arms were white colored all day so I found out what they were using, it was this! my only request to the company would be to add a little brown coloring to it so it was closer to skin color when apllied :) this way you don't look like a ghost wearing it lol

I purchased this sunscreen but was a bit disappointed. I haven't been out in a burning hot sun, so I don't know how well it works, although I trust other testimonials. I just listed a few pros and cons Pros: I don't think I need to wear raw element or any kind of water resistant sunscreen for daily use. So I store it for certain occasions. It has fairly long expiration date-2 years- so I'm happy with that. Best thing about this is it floats in water and you can apply it on wet skin or underwater. I don't like going in the sunlight to begin with, and hate going underwater at the beach, but this will be useful if I go to water parks. Some people may want to apply to face or body while still under the water at the beach instead of coming out and drying. And they can this tiny stick in bikini pocket or swimsuit shorts. It floats in water so you won't accidentally drop it and let it sink deep down the ocean. I also think if I go to waterpark, I wouldn't want to bring stacks of towel to dry myself every two hours to reapply sunscreen. So, being able to apply on wet skin can be a plus. Cons: I used aveeno baby, also rated 1 in ewg, but decided to change because R.E has higher ZnO. However, the product doesn't rub or apply well like other sunscreen stick. Youtube shows it applies underwater and you can see thick white stuff, but no matter how hard I try it doesn't apply like that. It just applies almost clear so I'm worried if I didn't apply enough or if I got a defective item. Also, I feel like my skin gets rubbed too much when I apply on face because it is "hard". I could get more wrinkles by trying to apply it on my face than getting wrinkles from the sun. LOL. It's slightly yellow due to beeswax, and smells like sunflower seed or whatever. Personally, I dislike the smell although it goes away after 1hour or maybe less. Not sure if I will break out. Although, if I'm going to a beach, I'd rather have acne than burn and get wrinkles. I think I may use shiseido's ultmiate sunscreen for face (ZnO 13% and TiO )if I want oil-free, non-breaking out product, and very water resistant sunscreen for usage in beach or sports. That product is not as eco-friendly or organic, but provides better UVB protection, and similarly high UVA protection.

I am so very, very pleased with this product. I was looking for the most natural sunscreen possible, and came across Raw Elements. I couldn't believe the ingredient list! the ONLY active ingredient is Zinc Oxide and EVERY single other inactive ingredient is a completely natural product (mango butter, green tea, black tea, cocoa butter, etc ... ) Sounded too good to be true and based on some other reviews about the consistency, difficulty getting it out of the tube and difficulty rubbing it in - I had my doubts. (I was looking primarily for something I could wear on my face and use on my children) But I ordered the tube of eco+ as well as the eco+ stick. Incredible products! There was no issue AT ALL with getting it out of the tube and rubbed right in leaving NO trace of white residue. I suppose I could see that if the tube was in a cold room, you might need to warm it up a bit first, but ... seriously - who cares? I find that the stick was slightly more of a matte finish than the cream in the tube, but I liked the spreadability of the cream so much that I use that one on my face anyway. It leaves a little bit of a glisten on my face that doesn't bother me at all and is very subtle anyway and goes away after wearing for a few minutes. I guess if I HAD to choose, I prefer the cream slightly over the stick because it seems to go on a little easier, but I do like the stick as well and I like it also for ease of portability and to have on hand in my purse, etc. I will 100% be ordering again when I am out of this product. LOVE IT!

I don't write reviews, but this has consistently been THE BEST face sunscreen. My one child is very fair and burns. We have a pool, and they are constantly swimming. All other sticks seem to come off easily while they play, and put goggles on and off. Then they burn. Not with this. This stays on, and she never burns when using it. I usually buy two each summer and it lasts. I really hope this is around for a super long time. I don't know if I'll find anything else that works so well.

I'm surprised that so many people complained on how white this stuff goes on. Yes, it does get a bit white but I barely noticed at all. And wow! It really does last very, very well. It is a big greasy indeed but I was so well-protected over a month in near-equator sun in Bali that it was totally worth it. It's great to be able to put it on when you're wet and it works right away. It's mega waterproof and therefore hard to get off, but honestly it's made of such nice ingredients that it makes a great moisturizer even when there is a little bit left on the skin. I didn't experience any breakouts but it did make my face a little hot. But really, I absolutely love this stuff and highly recommend it if you are going to be spending a lot of time in the ocean.

great product, arrived quick

Was in need of something with staying power for my children's cheeks after spending all day in the pool and getting burnt. Nothing else has managed to stay on longer in the water and with constant goggle use. Yes it leaves skin a bit ghostly but the kids don't care and I'm very happy with no more pink cheeks!

Convenient pocket size. Thick but will rub in without too much of a white cast. Like that it has a lot of organic and natural ingredients. Works well. A bit pricey for it's size but I like the quality.

Perfect for topping up sun-block on face without having to get hands sticky. A little firmer than the tube version which makes it perfect for the face (slightly more matt, not shiny or sticky at all. Good raw sunscreen for those with skin problems. Make sure to look at the size because it's really smal piece but it's worth the purchase.
