[Any who claim such, have obviously Not Read any of the well-documented research from around the world, or would baisedly rather you buy their alternative product.] Ions are produced naturally during lightning storms, where water crashes to ocean and lake shores, around quartz rock & granite mountains & quartz rock, by conifer trees by heating seasalt (pink himalayan seasalt candles - from Pakistan by the way) and made by falling water, including your shower & fountain. Basically, we feel great; invigorated, alive, positive & invigorated in those pristine environments. On the other hand, there is reverse or low ionization, which has detrimental effects on us. I'm very sensitive to ozone so I had to first return an Air Supply Mini-Mate AS180 because the ozone was too much for me. This unit is perfect for me. I flew a roundtrip on United. No problem with airline staff. I am usually very much bothered by the jet fuel and engine fumes whenever I fly so I wanted an ionizer-purifier. I bought the AIrTamer at the beginning of Nov 2018. When I wore it to fly, I felt very well during my flights. Some reviewers were bothered by the cord but I decided to try this unit anyway even though I have very sensitive skin. Gratefully I was not bothered at all by the cord while I was flying. I also wear my unit from time to time when not flying and have on occasion 'adjusted' the cord. I guess I became 'aware' of it on my skin a couple of times but it was not painful or irritating. Perhaps there is some other factor involved, such as possibly the level of hydration of the wearer at the time. I am careful to be very well hydrated before flights. This unit is comfortable, light, effective, with excellent battery life. Love that it's rechargeable. I leave it hanging up charging in my car so it's with me whenever I need it. I like to use it in traffic when the road fumes really get inside the car. Worth it just for the car. Beats any passenger compartment air filter by a long shot.

I like the AirTamer but it is hard to ascertain if it works without doing a blind study. However, I took two plane trips and wore it and never got sick last month. I felt better in crowded airport wearing the device and on the plane. I believe it works and maybe that is enough. You do get a little electric shock when you first put it on and it is important to have the cord on your neck for it to work better. The shock goes away in a few seconds. I have used it for hours without any problem.

I just returned from a hectic, 3-week trip to Japan that involved two int'l flights, 2 domestic flights, more than a dozen long trips on trains, several trams, subways and crowded areas - ALL made healthier by wearing my AirTamer purifier. I'd used the older, battery-operated AirTamer for 3 years, and *never* - not even once! - gotten sick on a long, international flight. By contrast, my husband would come home nearly every time with a cold that took 3 weeks to get over. I just bought this new, rechargeable AirTamer for the trip to Japan, thinking it'd be easier to recharge the device than have to run out for batteries. About 100 times during the trip I found myself saying, "THANK GOD I've got this on!" While many Japanese wear face masks in public, there are still those who are sick, coughing or sneezing unprotected on every single form of transportation there. I would even wear this device here in the States when traveling or being in places with lots of people contact. Why take a chance? If you have senior parents, chances are they are in assisted living. Great place to catch norovirus. Same for hospitals if you go to visit or need a medical app't. This device is lightweight, non-intrusive and sure seems to work, as I just returned from yet another long trip & flight home without EVER having had even a scratchy throat. The key is to wear it in the presence of large crowds. The charge lasts about 160 hrs, so I'd only charge it up every few days on the trip - and only when I knew I'd be traveling in mobs of people. The only thing I found may be unique to me is that the cord it hangs on caused a slight rash on my neck. It seemed to prickle a bit when wearing it. I resolved that by laying it on top of a neck scarf. Yes, it works better with the cord on one's neck, but for my own comfort, I had the scarf layered in between. I'm going to give my 93-yr-old mom my old battery AirTamer, cuz she is often in the presence of germs and viruses being active as well as exposed to frail seniors with health issues.

I do notice a difference when I'm wearing this device. I wish the cord looked more attractive and I should have purchased the white model and not the black. Everyone thinks I'm wearing a recording device so I'm explaining a lot. I find it looks ridiculous with my necklaces and dressy clothing but I wear it anyway. I find it's helpful for musty situations, pollen and even being around people who wear too many perfume or essential oils. You still smell them but it's not overpowering anymore. The unit doesn't work great on smoke but given the size you can't expect it to do everything. I do wish there was a little fan so the cleaner air would be circulated around my mouth and nose but I imagine that would make noise. I like how silent this device is. You can't hear a thing unless you put it up against your ear and then you hear the faintest push sound. I can use it beside my bed at night and not hear a thing. The light on the back makes use at night slightly less enjoyable but I put a piece of electrical tape over it and that solves that problem. The cord is the biggest con. It's ugly and doesn't feel the best against the skin. Kind of like carrying a used rope around your neck but you get used to it quickly. Wish there was a clip on the rechargeable version like there is on the battery powered one. Or at least the option. If it had a clip on the back of the unit I could clip it to my collars and hide the cord under my clothing for more discreet use. If you're expecting to a shot of crystal clean oxygen your expectations are too high. If you want something to help make life a bit more bearable when suffering from allergies it's worth every penny. Con: Cord is unsightly, no clip, stands out when wearing Pro: Silent, rechargeable, lightweight, works as an excellent aid

Hi everyone I generally dont write reviews but this time I felt very happy to write this review regarding this Airtamer which I have purchased through Amazon. It was a prompt delivery and I have started using from the Day one itself as I spend most of my time under Office AC. Since One Year I never felt cold or any viral effective disease. Im pretty sure that it can drive away Covid-19 virus also. Worth trying It. Thanks for the technology.
